I live in Lebanon, in a town on a mountain overlooking the "Dog river". Midway the mountain, there is a rock where Nebuchadnezzar II engraved his name when he conquered that place. I feel so privileged. Before modernisation and road building and tunnels, that corner was very difficult for an army to pass. I can only imagine the battle. thanks for the memory.

What I know, you have to say it. You will be overwhelmed by the sheer size of the stones (not the roman ones which are impressive still). The foundation is not Roman. According to the bible God was represented by a king David Solomon etc. Sadly the kings became corrupt and did not obey God so he removed the last king Zedikiah in the year 607. Babylon destroyed Jerusalem and the Jews were taken captive to Babylon to serve the king for 70 years.
From 607 no king sat on Gods throne to represent him.
Ezekiel 21:27 says A ruin, a ruin, a ruin I will make it. And it will not belong to anyone until the one who has the legal right comes, and I will give it to him.’
The one who has the legal right to the Kingship is Jesus.
A period of time know as the gentile times would elapse and according to Daniel 4 it would be 7 times. The 7 times come to 2520 years counting from 607 they ended in 1914. In that year the sign of Christs presence began. You may remember Jesus said he would come again so the deciples asked him for the sign Matthew 24:7 first sign was international warfare.
In Revelation 17:10 it talks about 7 kings five have fallen one is but the other has not yet arrived

Nebuchadnezzar II and Babylon have had a bad press in history because of the Old Testament.. but historical records show that Babylon was infact an great and enlightened empire tolerant of all religions and races.. the people of Israel and Judah lived relatively safe, until Zedekiah decided to rebel for no reason.. Nebuchadnezzar II gave the people of Israel several chances despite their rebellions until the king got fed up with the King of Judah constantly breaking his word.. he then punished them severely and took the Jewish nobility (7000 people, not the entire population) into exile. While in Babylon, they married with the locals, adopted local customs and religious practices and became ‘the whores of Babylon’. Some of these Jews, when they returned from exile 70 years later maintained their additional foreign customs and gave rise to the ‘Pharisees’ (or Persians, as they are known). They believed in reincarnation, the concept of heaven and hell, angels .. and other ideas.. that’s why they gave Jesus the benefit of the doubt during his trials… the rest is ‘history’..😏

Interesting, this narrative thinks the Yahwist religion (8:00) as "polytheistic". It is more likely that the Canaanite descendant religion of the Yahwist's era, known by some as Eloistic, was the polytheistic influence on the ancient (pre-Judah) Hebrews. Some argue that the Eloists interposed Asherah and the other Canaanite gods into the Yahwist pattern. The fascinating part is that this narrative doesn't seem to know about the Eloists and simply assumes Yahwistic polytheism.

If you believe in the God's are not it was obvious that these people according to the text were in constant communication with these beings, they also interacted with them so they were clearly flesh and blood as well. great vid as always but i think u made a mistake at the beginning it's the bronze age that was coming to an end not the iron age but thanks for your hard work anyway.
The Iron Age in the Ancient Near East ended approx 550 BC, whereas the Bronze Age in the Near East ended much earlier (around 1200 BC). So the info in the video is actually correct, it was the Iron Age that was nearing its end in 609 BC.
You're likely thinking of the Bronze Age in Europe that ended 600 BC.
As far i concern: use of iron for crafting weapons was early 800BC so by then bronze as most common material is slowly fading throughout the region। The term Damascus steel is as old can be trace it's origin back in that time period।
