Learn how to use the Acapella App! I get so many questions on Instagram on what app I use to make my split screen videos. I figured I'd make this tutorial to help everyone learn how to use this awesome app. (Some of the features are only on the app for iPhones)

UPDATE: Acapella has not updated the Android App since 2016. I contacted them and received this response "Unfortunately we were unable to get Acapella to work properly on Android." This is why newer Android phones are unable to use the app, unfortunately. I had done collabs in the past with friends that had Androids so I thought the app was still working. I have an iPhone so I was not able to test this out recently. I'm sorry this is only working on iPhones :(

Your explanation is clear, but I was really hoping to see how you create with the app. Your tutorial -- on how to record multi-framed music videos -- involved no video recording, no videos, and no music making. Totally get what you mean. I'm thinking of doing and "How to Use the Acapella App part 2" and include this!
I thought it was perfect. Succinct and to the point. I’ve seen way too many tutorial videos that are spent blathering on and on that could’ve been 1/3 shorter (not that I mind seeing Gina’s pretty face) but this explained what I needed to know to get up and running.
The only thing (and maybe I missed it) was finding if there’s a way to preview each successive recording ie playback as you go, and also, a more detailed explanation of the count-in feature (can you set the BPM?)
In any case, I’ve not downloaded the app yet so maybe it’ll have a User Guide. But this video was more than enough to get started. Thanks so much!!

Thank you for your very informative videos. You seem to be the only person doing proper tutorials; others are calling theirs tutorials, but give very little information regarding - how to.
I think the people who take your money should at least show you how to use it.
If it wasn’t for your videos, I would cancel this app.
I do have a question though: After the video is recorded and shared, can the BPM be changed? I recorded it slower because I couldn’t play it at the correct speed.
Any help will be greatly appreciated.

hmm, not that I know of. You should be able to export just the audio from acapella though...

Thanku for sharing. I just have SOOO many songs i write and am still writing but im also going to school online and dont really have the time or money to produce n master my own music. Dont like dealing with alot of ppl. Do u know an app that can give u some kind of background music while ur singing ur acapella into it? App frustrating because there isn’t a help section or instructions. How do you collaborate with someone? Ex: if one person playing guitar and wants someone else to sing, how do you sync it together?

Will it work ok with the Shure MV88 for Iphone 10? I am really chanllenged technologically and need to finish project really quickly :(
But i wanna hear the previous sound even I’m recording so i know that it sync how is that?
Although I use the metronome on both recordings, they are not synced. Say, the later recording seems to be a beat late in comparison to the previous one. I also use headphones so the metornome cannot be heard in the recording.
Currently using an iphone 5s, at least 2.5 gb available of memory so its not a problem of space.
I was having that problem too. That's why I now sync them manually in a video editing app.

Robert Szymanski the main problem was that I wasn’t using headphones with a speaker, but I do now and it’s perfect.

Nice tutorial, Gina. I love the built in effects in the Acapella App. Unfortunately, on my iPhone 6 I am getting so much latency when trying to sing or play along with the previous video, it is unusable for making multitrack, simultaneous videos. I have contacted the developer and received no reply. Have you any experience with latency on Acapella?
