I think it would be a lot more handy right on the greater. I have to use the disk then come back and get the greater hate that part of it. But I love the job the disk does. I have checked it a few times. And I just checked it tonight. Anywhere from 4 to 4 and a 1/2 gallon an hour. Can't hardly believe that. Thought I would ask you.
We need 1 of these at work what's the price tag ? do you pull that material onto the road to separate and reclaim the gravel and how much field of vision is lost when stowing attachment? love your videos i operate a 140m3 for municipality and we have a lot of front mount snow plow operators who like to kick out all the gravel from the road during the winter. any feed back is appreciated i'm trying to convince work to try these out.
We brought ours for 15,000 5 years ago I’m suer there close to 20,000 now but we’ll worth the investment because they last forever and after I disc I let material sit a week then pull all up on the road incorporating it all in when the disc is not in use it doesn’t obstruct your visibility that much I generally use it then take it off do to with it on it makes you duck walk easier Thanks for the question and thanks for watching
They are spinning hard to tell in video and reason why there at a sharp angle is you don’t want it to dig you just want to take an inch or half inch of material with the disc and with the sharp angle it cuts up material very fine.
That's one attachment that is a complete waste of time, money, use your grader to pull in after your road is reshaped then mix all your material in a window on the crown then place it back on your shaped road from crown to shoulder then any cobble that is generated is off the road and any grass that was pulled in will never show, its way to simple and all you non operators quit buying shit because you don't know how to grade a road.
You obviously haven’t used a retriever disc or don’t know how to use it properly cause this disc is a great investment if used correctly it’s a huge time saver and it eliminates the mess that you would have pulling it in with the moldboard but hey everyone has there own opinions and I use the tools I have that makes my job easier.
@Graderman 140M oh Mr graderman I've been there and they make your road edges look very unprofessional kinda like leaving a "maintenance rinrow" because you don't know how to keep your material from piling up on your moldboard along the shoulder and spilling off, oops i'll just call it a maintenance rinrow I've been around lots of operators that make excuses for not knowing good technique.
@@jeffreyturck274 if you don’t like the way I maintain my roads or don’t find my advise useful I’d suggest you don’t watch my videos cause you have all the answers everyone operates different then another and no one’s roads are the same do to material and many other factors what works for you in your area will not work in my area I maintain my roads the way I do because that’s what works and have very satisfied supervisors and residents who live in my townships so if you don’t like it please don’t criticize the way I maintain my roads and the advice I give others.

@@robertschaar4807 I prefer the front mount retriever have it with you way easier to see plus can lift up and still blade if you have too
@@graderman140m Does it throw a lot of stuff against that front tire. Hard to tell in video. And yes I could see it being very handy in the front.

Our county must be poor. Our grader doesn't have all those fancy attachments. Just the one single main blade.

It can if you don’t calibrate the transmission I calibrate mine every week really helps hope that helps you out thanks for watching
