I think ariya was a solid EV. I quite like it
I really like your pros and cons videos. They are usually quite insightful. But, when it comes to the Nissan Ariya, I gotta say their sales is stagnant because the car, however innovative, it is a regular looking EV (however pretty) for the price. I feel it is just too pricey for what you get. Other than that, it is quite the good looking vehicle.
That’s only because of the subsidies they give American made EVs. On a true free market, this is very competitive.

The Aria would be in my top 3 if I were buying new today. I wish they made the back more usable with a higher, squared off back end. Reduces functionality. Also, some are looking like an old station wagon like I grew up with.
0 - 60: I care about it because I need to be able to get on the highway and maneuver with some power. I do some highway driving and it's crazy out here. I live in Oakland CA! Aside from the crime, we like it here. Especially the weather.
Love my Ariya Venture +, averaging about ~ 340 miles/charge. I’m happy and I did get this tax credit for preordering it

The City of Oakland did not defund the police.
My local Nissan dealer has many of these in stock in several trims, and I got a great no money down lease on mine. Great time to get one. It is not selling well but it has nothing to do with the car.
Nobody defunded the police in areas of California. The budget for the LAPD alone is 1.4 billion dollars. One out of eight American citizens live in California, over-population has a lot to do with issues in California. Nice car review though!
@@BSLO48 I lived in Oakland California and I can tell you that the were two traffic cops in the entire city. I have talked to many police departments in California and almost all of them told me they were defunded in one way or another
This is a fantastic SUV period. It just happens to be an EV. I love mine. And one of the biggest attractions (besides the company not being run by a conman) is that it is a normal SUV with mostly normal controls and you can get in and drive it without taking lessons.
Damn! Such a slam on the entire city of Oakland is unnecessary.
0-60 of the FWD is around 7.5, still not bad for an SUV. And it feels quicker because it is all torque. My AWD is 5.1 and it is awesome. Sure, others are quicker but I think this has the best combination of looks, build quality, ride and interior out there at anywhere near this price point.

looking at the used sale price on ARIYA, anything less than 10k mile price drop by 20% to 30% in just a few months. The main reason is there are no used EV rebates for late model. Therefore EV should be cheaper if there is no rebate.
That no tax credit might be a deal breaker for me😢

Better check the EV market, Ford/VW and so on cut there production, second hand market is very tow. Better check before you decide

@@EforElectric It is obvious that's the reason that it doesn't sell as much as the Tesla even though it might be a better car? Asian hate? They were the first EV maker.
It qualifies for the $7,500 if you lease it.

I know you probaly thought your comment about the frunk and theives was great but giving away the "secret" of as you put it "the most secure places in a EV" to those thieves that never thought about it, or didnt know about it... Now those of us that have one have to reconsiderd using it over night for any we dont want stolen.
Tesla’s spartan interiors feel like a corporate board room. Hate ‘em, but I do love my ole trusty 2015 Leaf. Damn thing just goes and goes. Ariya will be our next car.

The biggest con: it's a Nissan, meaning it's likely programmed to become obsolete, just like the Leaf models recently disconnected from the network.
Federal tax credits are dumb.
I agree, yet I continue to get credits from my oil wells, oh wait people don't make that big of a deal about those.

Let the legislators run amuck. and they will try to tax everything so that they can redistribute moneys to their pet projects.
I got tax credits from my EVs as well as my solar instillation. People only want to try to claim that some get something that is available to all and think somehow it is unfair. Tax credits are available (to some degree) to everyone, not just a few.
