Hey Kari😊 I am also an au pair in VA and I have been feeling anxious and down because I want to ask my family for a rematch but I am scared of their reaction and that they will be hurt by my decision. Also the possibility of not getting another family is worrying me.

Hi, im really interested in aupairing, i have a question regarding the college thing, does it have to be 72 hours or if you are able to extend your time with the host family, do they pay for your studies for example if i want to study teaching? also do you perhaps know of agencies that allow you to aupair in other countries besides the us?

Yes it has to be 72hours. Families only pay for the 72hours you’re supposed to study. If you want to study teaching, I don’t think it’ll be possible as you’ll already be “working” as an au pair and won’t have time. Some families do sponsor some au pairs after their year is completed which is rare.
