This guy explains really well, but you need confidence and prayers to help you get through parking tests, I failed my rta garage parking twice but passed the third time, alhamdulillah 🙌

During garage parking back tore of right side suppose to touch the line but as per your suggestion I stopped the vehicle and took little bit forward 1 meter and after adjusting wheel again reverse and cleared the garage parking test. Thanku sir again.
Now next I will go for angle parking test which is only pending

Hi All, to make sure how and why you failed and touched the lines in rta smartyard, you can approach the rta examiner and ask if you can watch the videos of your test. This really helps.

How about parking break for manual is it the hand break as replacement?
This Smart Yard test is very difficult! Driving is all about instinct and based on the car you drive, you will get used to it and the judgement will automatically come. Good luck to all doing this test!

When I am doing any of the parking maneuvers, am I allowed to adjust my position by for example reversing if I feel that I might cross the parking slot boundaries?

@Ferooz Shoulder check is Not required during slope test or emergency brake test however its better if you do that & you don’t loose any points for that.

Hi, I was in the main office in Al Quosais, trying to book my smart yard exam again because I was failed......and the receptionist told me, that I have to call the call center to make a booking...I was trying to make my booking while I was in the main office so I can pay, because every time I tried to book using call center they are not accepting my booking because they want me to pay first before they confirm the booking.....

For the perelal parking you didn't mention the second point, the second point is (when you tern right you have to check your left soldier when you reach yellow line with your left soldier you have to turn left to straight your staring wheels) you will be ✅
Last week I had my Smart Yard test in EDI. Unfortunately I got failed in all the three parking and only passed in hill stop and emergency brake. It was my first attempt. What I mostly face a problem while doing the parking is to maintain a safe distance before turning/reversing for parking and also not able to slow much. What should I do to keep my vehicle slow, Whenever I try to release brake even for smaller friction, the vehicle seems to become faster, while the instructor seems to be doing this perfectly.

Let’s say you didn’t manage to align your car close to the dotted line can you make a round and come back? Say for angle parking.

What is the meaning of the RED and BLUE light on top of the RTA smart yard test vehicle ?
Should I adjust my seat and the mirrors and seat belt after I put the gear to drive or theses points are not counted in smart yard test? I mean I can do them before camera start monitoring?
Yes you can do it before parking test start. Ideally you should adjust seat mirror and put seat belt before giving signal to start the test.
First we have to press brake pedal handbrake and then parking gear. And then we have to turn off the engine it is ok
first sequence is right but why do u need to turn of the engine??

please must we do the 6 points checking when starting the car during the test and do also when start the parking parallel and Garrage and when exiting the parallel and Garrage and Angel I must do all time ?
Yes. In some case only one side shoulder check is required but its better to do 6 points check in order to avoid confusion.

I had my first rta test today at EDI. I failed garage, angle and emergency test. I cant imagine I failed the emergency test, it says I didnt stop at the designated space. But I just stopped once I heard the beep sign. 🤷♂️. For the garage, I made an extra reverse, my bad. For the angle it says I touched the parking line. So I might have turned right late or early. 😔. Any more tips for my second test?

Sure, will soon upload video on Garage parking with reference point.
When you reverse, keep your eye on the back small window. Once the small window touches the left corner of the yellow line,you turn steering full right. very slowly move car and now keep an eye on the left side mirror , you should be able to see the left corner then quickly bring back steering to straight so you can keep the car straight. Not sure if I am able to explain. tomorrow is my smart yard assessment that's why it is fresh in mind :P

where to start the vehicle when we're giving RTA parking test second or third time. For eg, I cleared Slope, Emergency, and Parallel. Now when I go for next time, should I follow the same route or directly hit the garage parking spot. Please advice, thanks
