I installed Blender 5 years ago. I think I'm starting to get the hang of it.

I am not a blender professional. I am just an occasionally motivated individual who has used blender for approximately 700 hours over the past three years.
Before Blender, I wasted all of my free time playing games. I then discovered Source Film Maker. I attempted animating ponies in SFM and hated it. The lighting, the constant crashing... horrible. Shortly after uninstalling SFM, I discovered Blender in 2019.
I tried to model the donut, but the learning curve threw me off and I lost interest for a few months. Coming back to the donut tutorial a second and third time, I was able to overcome the initial learning curve. Completing the donut gave me a huge confidence boost and I've stuck with it.
