One of the best real world videos on this car that I've seen. Others are mainly people that don't own it, and have it for a short time. I do not like those videos. I ordered mine about 2 months ago, and I'm currently sitting at 3000 status. I like you, didn't get lots of things people told me I should get. I find that most of the people who get the Z51 and other options are just wasting money, and doing it for the other guys opinion. My 23 came to about 74k out the door, as I kept it super simple. Added just a couple of things, the wheels were on restraint, so I had to take them off at the last min. Not to worry, like you I'll be changing them sooner after it comes in more than likely. This is just a GREAT video, thanks.

Nice build.. the wheels definitely set it apart from all the other C8s on the road.. silver was the right choice. I went with 1LT to keep the price down and the only option I miss is blind spot detection because I'm so accustomed to it in my other cars.. otherwise perfect for casual drives and occasionally showing off 😎

Our Arctic White 2023 3LT HTC non-Z51 with magnetic ride, front lift, performance exhaust, and carbon flash painted low rear spoiler, top, nacelles, wheels, and other trim pieces is perfect for us. We will never track it and we enjoy the great handling and acceleration it provides. I drive it as much or more than my 2021 Toyota Highlander even though this 75 yo body with spinal stenosis and 3 hip surgeries in the last 5 years wonders why. It’s a great, comfortable, and exhilarating vehicle to drive. I thought I would miss the manual transmission in the C6 convertible we traded in, the C8 is the best car I have ever driven. We did need the front lift for our driveway, we plan on taking many long trips in this car.

Nice build! I agree with you. Too many people say you need it blah blah blah. It's a nice package but useless if you won't ever track the car. Mine is a 23 70th anniversary edition with carbon high wing, roof and ground effects. I'm in CA and have a steep driveway so front lift was a must. Enjoy your car sir!
Nice build, love the wheels. I did the same on my 23 C8, just over 400 miles on it now, stock silver wheels, hope to grab a set of E-Ray takes offs in the future. Mine is 1LT, no front lift or mag ride or Z51, didnt want to jack up the price and I'm not gonna track it. I did get the Stingray R package and the high wing and was out the door with taxes, tags and title for $73.

Mark loved the video. I have a black/black 2LT HTC. Bought new at dealership. I regret not having lift, but after 1,000 miles have not yet needed in my state of Texas. Give me ur thoughts on not having. Also, ur ride looks like it has a front splitter . Did you install after purchase? Because i am so worried about scrapping, i am ok going without splitter. I do have mag ride. Ride is very smooth, but don’t have anything to compare.
I have an LT 1 / Z51 package car. The base seats are the most comfortable. Florida is blazing hot in the summer - the extra cooling is necessary in my opinion. I went with a 21/22 offset on aftermarket wheels and tires. The factory run flats and wheels are boat anchors . Front end lift isn’t necessary. The car sits plenty high - I’ve never had an issue with it. It’s all subjective

It's all about your "budget," lifestyle, & values to your cars (e.g., putting ALL $$$ to your car but anything else). Many people love to have SUPER CARs equipped w/ circuit parts but just keeping them as a STREET everyday ride & "NEVER" pull the FULL performance of the machine. Well, people who can afford them, they would simply say, "I have it b/c I can." Maybe similar feeling to jewelries "on you" or "in a safe." Or work of arts not in your living rm but in a storage space. Yes!! I wish I could afford ONE even if I don't have a chance to experience its peak performance for NOT showing off to others but JUST enjoying the "weekend ride"---- IF/WHEN I have in the future.... 😅😂
I suspect that Z51 versions will retain their value better as time passes. By the way, based upon the significant number of issues C8 owners are experiencing, I advise you to put away at least $10k for after warranty repairs. (Or sell before the warranty expires)

Yes but you pay more for z51. Options do not determine resale value on a used car especially years later. One will never recoup their money back. $10k for repairs? You are probably referring that NSX if that hybrid system needs servicing in the future. The NSX was designed and made here in America, and not all the parts were made in Japan. The NSX although nice, was double the price and the engineering was way too complicated compared to the C8 which is why it flopped. Two different cars with two different price points.
Because of the magazine and CZcams reviewers, the z51 is touted as a "must have" option which has to be the lie of the century. For the 95% of buyers who do not track their cars, it is a waste of money. Exactly where are you going to need the extra cooling and breaking ability on the open road? Non mag ride cars have excellent ride (my 2020 3LT coupe, non Z51) but it is even better on my 2023 non z51 3LT HTC which also seems to impart a more solid feel to the car. If you get a 2LT and upgrade to the GT2 seats which use Napa leather, other than the steering wheel hub it is indistinguishable from the 3LT. Always amazes me when people upgrade their cars to Z51 and colored calipers but go with the standard wheels which are just ugly. Wheels are the most important thing when it comes to improving the looks of the C8 and most cars. Most people get the front lift (I didn't) but if where you live and drive doesn't require it why spend the $2600. Skip Z51 and front lift saves you $9000 or a whole lot of other goodies you could have that you will enjoy and improve looks. The $595 low profile spoiler which includes front lip spoiler has to be one of the best deals going.
Just because YOU dont see the benefit of Z51 doesnt make it a "waste of money". Most owners don't go to a track but still drive agressively enough to benefit from the package and can feel the differences in dynamics between Z51 and the standard suspension.
@@herbwilliams3862 How aggressively can you drive on a public road to take advantage of Z51? Eight tenths, nine tenths? Exactly where are you ever going to drive at that level outside of a track or closed course? Of course people are free to spend how they please but realistically a base Stingray without z51 or mag ride is going to be just as rewarding at $8500 less and there is a lot of things you can get for $8500 that are much more rewarding, like an HTC. If you own a C8, just how much time are you spending driving at 9/10s, 8/10ths, 7/10s. Pretty sure a summer day with the top down doing a fast run is more rewarding and simple reality is that while you can remove the coupe's top, most people just don't, especially if you have anything in the trunk.
Fortunate to have three cars and all sports cars so it's just hard to find time to drive them all as much as I would like. A good problem for sure. Trying to drive it more and more.

Kind of how I feel. I wouldn't say butt ugly, but not that attractive. His Vette with those wheels look great. The other colors like red, with those cheezy looking carbon black accents ruin the car. I've seen the all black, blue and orange...and the only color to get is the black for sure, which looks decent. But those rims he's got takes it to another level.

It's just the Z51 splitter. No issues with scraping so far. And have never needed from lift yet.

The C8 is a butt ugly car design, but the black color makes it look good 👍🫡
Kind of how I feel. I wouldn't say butt ugly, but not that attractive. His Vette with those wheels look great. The other colors like red, with those cheezy looking carbon black accents ruin the car. I've seen the all black, blue and orange...and the only color to get is the black for sure, which looks decent. But those rims he's got takes it to another level.
