I see there’s one up the street from me. I’ll def stop by when I enter the market for a car. 🤝

I had a W long time ago. Then I switched to an Opel. But I don't live in the US, so things and choices may be quite different depending on the country you live in 😮

Dude the maintenance on a vw is wild. You’re better off buying a new car. Opel, okay, I haven’t seen one of those in the states yet. I’ll have to look into getting stock in Opel tech later on.

bro, you bought a TDI Golf Sportwagen with over 100k on it. What did you expect? Timing belt needs to be done every 100k on those engines. Many Toyotas and Hondas used T belts as well back in the day. CV boot torn is a meh issue. Happens all the time on all kinds of cars. The service advisor who quoted you a timing belt change was going by age and mileage, unknowing that the stuff was already done. The clutch going bad on your DSG either means the pervious owners did not change the fluid as often as they should have or they abused it. Clutch going bad on a DSG is a rare occurrence if it was maintained and not abused. Also even Toyota dealerships charge diagnostic fees of around $170. Car ownership is not cheap.

Same here. I was in college and bought a VW. Worst car ever. Transmission went after a few months so I sold it to a mechanic who fixed it. I have never had any major issues with Japanese cars. I recommend a basic Toyota Camry or Mitsubishi. They are cheap to buy and maintain. They are reliable. Good luck

😩 That sucks, VW issues while attending college is next level. I will absolutely look into a Japanese make for my next car.

Look i listened to your video all the way through and i almost felt sorry for you. Firstly dealerships are there to overcharge you. When buying any car always try to get the schematics. That way u can get the part numbers. Once yiu have those you take the power away from the dealership and save costs. To save more costs have a third party mechanic install the parts. America is big im sure there is someone. I live on a small island and we have exotic/performance cars that are running fine someone must be fixing them. This is the route to take with any car especially the german ones. The next thing is blame yourself for choosing a crappy brand. I know its nice and all to drive a German car but aside from Porsche their beautiful when they work, but monstrosities when they don't. Have u considered a Japanese mad vehicle. A Toyota Crown, Lexus or almost anything Mazda would last you a long time. You have to take into consideration build quality and nobody beats Japan. Get over the hype the competition is catching up. Personally i have a Mazda, not the flashiest but it puts a smile on my face the way that thing handles. Anyways i hope VW doesn't get anymore of your money and you learn that not all that glitters is gold. VW isnt even top tier to demand so much money for repairs. Who they think they are Chelsea Clinton?
