Will Young performs Evergreen live for BBC Radio 2's Piano Room, exactly 20 years after winning Pop Idol with this iconic song! Will is accompanied by the BBC concert orchestra from the legendary Maida Vale Studios.

Wow, this has such a huge nostalgic presence in my mind, born in '94.. I remember watching this with my mum in the living room.. And at the time feeling so much love.. Since then I grew up and made tonnes of mistakes.. But this will always take me back to a happy place with my mum, its amazing what music can do

Just beautiful, fell in love with him so many years ago when he first sang in front of the judges!! Now with a touch of grey he and his voice are just more beautiful!

This song is a classic. Proper throwback to the early 2000s! That pop idol final was great, Will, Gareth and Darius (RIP) but all great singers
I've never really appreciated how good his voice is until this performance.
Someone who took a chance, did well and made the most of it.

There's something about this song that just makes me feel EVERYTHING. I will never forget sitting and watching Pop Idol and being obsessed with Will's voice. I heard the interview he did with Kate Thornton and I can't fathom how hard it's been for him but even through it all, he's still got it. Such a worthy winner. The OG pop idol. Well done Will. Keep singing.

Genuinely nice guy, love how open he's been about his "activities" on Internet "dating 😉" etc. Makes him hotter. Even just talking I could listen to him all day. This takes me back. I still remember on the edge of my seat waiting for the result. Also of that moment earlier in the competition firing back at Simon "I don't think you could ever call that average."
