As a short girl, I am always in absolute awe when I see a tall girly. There’s a something so beautiful and feminine and powerful about being a taller girl and this dress just absolutely solidified that 😭😍 jealous as hell
As a tall guy you can't even fathom how I feel when I see a woman that I don't have to look down to when she is standing next to me. It's just the best.

Yeah I'm much shorter than her, but still taller than average and it pisses me off so much that being tall is considered beautiful for women and yet brands hardly ever make clothes that fit us. Since I started making my own clothes I can not go back to standard sizing because all dresses waists sit on my ribcage, pants are always short and uncomfortable, tops never fit my bust properly and there is absolutely no way that I could wear a romper.
i hate models because of this, and not going to lie i’ve been hating on short cunts because of the fact that there’s no actual tall girls. they’re just looking for whoever has a pretty face and looks anorexic and slightly above average hight. cuz i wanna see what an outfit looks like on someone who’s like me

Just repeating what others have said: a maxi dress is not the same as a floor length dress. Even maxis for short girls are short enough so you can see the feet. You‘ll see it on the pictures. Dress looks great

However, a maxi dress style will always be one that cuts off near the ankles, and a floor length dress style will always end at or below the floor. The difference is that what is a floor length piece of clothing for one person may be a maxi style or even midi style for someone else.

I happen to be 4’11” and I fully understand getting emotional when something fits as intended without altering. It’s so wonderful to find something that ACTUALLY fits, and you ROCK your new dress :) so happy for you!
It’s comforting to know that there’s many other women who struggle finding clothes that fit but also sad at the same time. Personally, I’m very skinny which means if I get clothes that fit my width, they’ll be too short and if I get clothes that are long enough, they’ll be too loose.
i'm 5'5 and 14, but i'm pretty skinny. since i'm too tall to shop in the kids section of most stores, i usually shop in the adults section, choosing the smallest size, but most of the time, they don't fit me right at all. it's either that the bust isn't right (i have a pretty small bust 😭), the waist is too big, or it's too short. sometimes it's all of those combined. usually i have to alter it, and it makes me really frustrated, especially when it's a piece i actually like ☹️
i feel you im 4'8 and bit old to grow anymore I feel so enyious when my friends can wear beautiful maxi dresses and gowns but I cant I am quite petite and those are either too long for me or too lose they just don't have an xs TT
My daughter is 6"1, I found a formal gown that was PERFECT for her length wise where she could still wear high heals and it was still gracefully gliding along the ground, and it still had a train on it. She looked beautiful

I’m 5’8” and I remember trying to find formal dresses for prom, homecoming, etc, was so difficult. Every full length dress was just a little too short so finding one for somebody who is 6’ seems impossible.
thats odd because im also 5'8" and for some reason all the prom and hoco dresses i tried were either too long on me or just right. maybe where i usually shop (windsor) just makes the dresses long to start and can hem them if needed.
I am a 6'3" lady - I had mine custom made by a seamstress because after trying to find one at 10 different stores, it was just impossible in my mostly Asian place of living.

I'm from Brazil and I'm pretty sure women are shorter here on average, but I think they cut the dresses longer to allow some room for adjustments if needed (it's easy to make a dress shorter, to make it longer on the other hand... Not so much 😅)

Girl I’m 6ft as well and I completely understand. Shorter people have a similar problem but not the same. You can usually get products hemmed but you can’t add fabric that isn’t there 😂😭 this is a dream come true and it looks phenomenal on you

Tall people problems: You’re always stubbing your toe You’ve got to keep your head on a swivel in public places. Because if you don’t; you might accidentally trample a poor kid. Usually when I buy full sized pants they only come up on the leg like caprese. Where do you shop? I'd love to get some clothes that fit better. @@spiderscout8407 I'm 147 pounds and I live in Europe, maybe the sizes and designs here are different, but basically any second hand store will do for tops, skirts and dresses, Levi's for jeans, anything from H&M fits me (I know it's not ethical but I shop only a couple things two times a year and it's still the only store that I can walk in and like most of the things I see), Decathlon for sports clothes, and then just random things from random stores

I don't know how it is outside of the states but sizes, quality, and cuts are really inconsistent between brands and their individual styles, generally any woman above 5'5 has to really search to find properly fitted clothes. As a 6'6" man who is nowhere near 200 pounds, every suit I wear looks like I borrowed it from Lou Costello. Finding clothes that are long enough is only half the problem. The other half is finding stuff that won't drape on me like a circus tent.

When I was a child pre internet, it was a nightmare. I remember trying to find size 16 extra wide shoes when I was 12. I was just told I could wear the boxes out of the store or got laughed at. Thank God I stopped growing at 13. Lol
My munchkin is a preteen (being obscure, becuase well…, the internet) She is already 5’7”. We’re exactly the same height. If it helps I hit full height at 13. She could as well. Honestly, if most girls peaked their height at 18, we would be very tall 😂 My dad is your height. So is my Brother and uncles on both sides. My husband is a shorty 😂 Life is funny that way. My 8 year old granddaughter is getting bullied at school because she’s tall and is getting a complex about it was she’s always at the back of any photos and the smaller kids complain that they can’t see past her. It’s such a shame.

Me, too. Everything ends up being too long, including my tiny T Rex arms. I have to buy three-quarter sleeve tops to get sleeves that fit and I don't have to roll them up.

I sympathize, my daughter is 6'1" and finding clothes to fit her is a constant challenge. Once you got that thing on, though, it looked like it was tailor-made for you, a totally perfect fit.
I'm 5'9ish and I always use the tall/long option on Old Navy... it has never failed me yet! And if you type in all ur dimensions they give you accurate suggestions/recommendations :))
Had a Nordic colleague, she always wore nice business attire and then flats or sneakers cause anything with a heel made her look ridiculous (her words) as she had long legs, even for her height. Felt so bad for her, stunning AF but just had this strain on her face most of the time.
As a 5'11" woman, I totally feel this. I also have a large frame, like wide hips and broad shoulders. I also have a longer body, and shirts of all kinds are usually too short, as well as any one piece swim suits, which are what I'm comfortable with. Finding clothes that actually fit is amazing.
I'm 5'8" and also have wide hips and shoulders, and find it impossible to buy shirts or one piece bathers. For several years I got the two piece with the "tankini" top, but hate the way it swooshes around and drags (I used to be a distance swimmer). Now I just wear a bikini. It did take a bit of getting used to, but once I'm in the water it's fine.
As a 6'11" tall man (very athletic and buff), I also have trouble finding things that fit me properly and have to special order pretty much everything.

Kohls! Usually the only dresses that work for me there are the short ones, but they had a whole rack full of cute patterns in the same length, I was happily surprised

Even then models are only around 5’8 or 5’9. They don’t hire many tall tall girlies.

@@spiderscout8407 I'm 147 pounds and I live in Europe, maybe the sizes and designs here are different, but basically any second hand store will do for tops, skirts and dresses, Levi's for jeans, anything from H&M fits me (I know it's not ethical but I shop only a couple things two times a year and it's still the only store that I can walk in and like most of the things I see), Decathlon for sports clothes, and then just random things from random stores
@@lottaek1202 okay, I'll check some of those places out. I don't know how it is outside of the states but sizes, quality, and cuts are really inconsistent between brands and their individual styles, generally any woman above 5'5 has to really search to find properly fitted clothes. I really appreciate your advice and I'm excited to give it a look, thank you!

As a 6'6" man who is nowhere near 200 pounds, every suit I wear looks like I borrowed it from Lou Costello. Finding clothes that are long enough is only half the problem. The other half is finding stuff that won't drape on me like a circus tent.
@ard45387 I feel ya brother. I stay around 280lbs but not too out of shape. So I run into the same problems. Plus all my limbs are long, so it's tailor life for me (no choice) . When I was a child pre internet, it was a nightmare. I remember trying to find size 16 extra wide shoes when I was 12. I was just told I could wear the boxes out of the store or got laughed at. Thank God I stopped growing at 13. Lol

She is already 5’7”. We’re exactly the same height. If it helps I hit full height at 13. She could as well. Honestly, if most girls peaked their height at 18, we would be very tall 😂
My dad is your height. So is my Brother and uncles on both sides. My husband is a shorty 😂

@HisMiraclesHappening I'm good with whatever height she ends up at, but lord knows it's easier for "normal" size people. My baby doctor told my mom I would be 7 feet tall. Thank God I stopped growing at 13 years old. Lol Her mother is 5'7", so we'll see. 😁
My 8 year old granddaughter is getting bullied at school because she’s tall and is getting a complex about it was she’s always at the back of any photos and the smaller kids complain that they can’t see past her. It’s such a shame.
I have the opposite problem. I'm 5'3, and finding things that aren't a mile long on me is difficult sometimes.

And not catered to those with no muscles. Almost everything with a short inseam is also made for petite.
I'm 5'2 & always wanted to clothes shop the same things with someone really tall so that they can benefit from all the excess fabric that I have to cut off

Me, too. Everything ends up being too long, including my tiny T Rex arms. I have to buy three-quarter sleeve tops to get sleeves that fit and I don't have to roll them up.
Same and when I get my pants hemmed they ALWAYS come back too short! I've been to different places too and I usually tell them to add an inch to the length (just in case). I just need to learn how to hem.... 😔🤦🏼♀️
There are shops for petite people like us. I'm 5' (I think not too sure) and some stuff I've bought off the petite section on Asos is perfect
Yep. Short and tall girls get shafted but the 5'4 to 5'6 girlies get everything 😂 my boyfriend's sister is 5'9 and still struggles to find pants long enough

I sympathize, my daughter is 6'1" and finding clothes to fit her is a constant challenge. Once you got that thing on, though, it looked like it was tailor-made for you, a totally perfect fit.
I'm 5'9ish and I always use the tall/long option on Old Navy... it has never failed me yet! And if you type in all ur dimensions they give you accurate suggestions/recommendations :))
My wife's 6'2 so I understand the ordeal.

Had a Nordic colleague, she always wore nice business attire and then flats or sneakers cause anything with a heel made her look ridiculous (her words) as she had long legs, even for her height. Felt so bad for her, stunning AF but just had this strain on her face most of the time.

As a 5'11" woman, I totally feel this. I also have a large frame, like wide hips and broad shoulders. I also have a longer body, and shirts of all kinds are usually too short, as well as any one piece swim suits, which are what I'm comfortable with. Finding clothes that actually fit is amazing.

I'm 5'8" and also have wide hips and shoulders, and find it impossible to buy shirts or one piece bathers. For several years I got the two piece with the "tankini" top, but hate the way it swooshes around and drags (I used to be a distance swimmer). Now I just wear a bikini. It did take a bit of getting used to, but once I'm in the water it's fine.
I gotta believe she would be gorgeous in anything she wears. Great, positive personality as well.
