  • In this video I talk about the importance of hitting your opponent outside of combos and strong knockdown tools in order to stop your opponent from having recoverable health for comebacks if they land a heat engager, an insight not so much a lesson but what do you think is the best way to manage matches on tekken 8 with Leo at this point of the game

Man what a player you have become~ i have not been using the bok 1+2 ender after combos, i religiously try to use the b1+2 string(sometimes it whiffs like yours did in the combo example). That Feng match up knowledge is actually legit helpful. This video has given me some more confidence in the moves ive been using with leo . it was kinda the same in T7 where you would poke enough hp away before going for the launch to essentially kill once getting to the wall. So many players can benefit from this information because its not just a leo thing but its definately something leo does very well. Thank you so much~ please continue to show your support for this player. Appreciate you so much AyoRichie

I think you really hit the nail on the head with this one Rich. The importance of good moves that deal unrecoverable damage is completely understated in a game where recoverable health is easy to get back within a heat engager’s reach.

Thanks for the refresher Sifu AyoRichie.
Man, I wish I could KBD or KNK cancel, I have old man thumbs so it sucks getting caught in stances.
Over 200 hours in T8 with Leo, small fry, sure but it’s the first time I’ve been invested in competitive Tekken since T2 when I was at school.

Crazy thing is most of us that play leo know most of these are strong but the thing is its just boring sometimes especially b 1+2 string 😂 , great video as always

Df 2+3 is way better oki after bok 1+2 at the cost of 1 damage. You get better frame advantage and you get to threaten the fc low into the hb combo

Ive started doing on Wall splat b1,4 , 3+4 into d2. If they decide to stay down, theyre head first and you get a free stomp or df2+4 and still have allot of oki pressure since their safest option is to tech roll.
If they hold back and bounce straight back up, theyre back against the Wall att a crazy -25(can also be technically-10 since theyre able to duck)!!. Which gets them into a true 50/50. This mix up is crazy during heat because they have to decide between either standing up and eating the 3hit hell sweep or ducking and getting re splatted by df3… or even getting into another pressure with heat smash( youll be suprised how many high level players stand straight back up)
Takes some practice to get the angles right but worth it. The d2 doesnt land on reina and some other Female chars or maybe the input has to be as early as possible

I stay catching B people with b1+2 at times…the delay we can get with that move is vicious

So let me get this straight, because i feel like various points were made in this video.
I need to play pokes because of the unrecoverable health, stay at a safe distance in neutral to play those pokes and whiff punishes and also not get uber pressured by the characters that can just press buttons in this game.
    Am i missing something?

What I don't understand is why does Leo's win percentage drop significantly in blues and up? They feel super strong but they are linear, is it really a problem?

    • @strayzzfaxz6740

Leo doesnt have any bs to exploit so when it comes to fundamentals you have to outplay the other person which becomes significantly harder as you move up the ranks

Game feels like shit to play now. I got gig internet and almost every game stutters, has weird buffer issues, or lag spikes with "4 bar" connections. So unfun
