Thanks Chris, your thoughts and video helped me alot. Saw this online, and being the sharpest knife in the draw, i couldn't figure out from the pictures how the thing stayed on the door. Your video cleared that right up. : - )
Thanks for the video! I usually do dips from a bench, and if you straighten your body by pushing the hip upward and forward, you should be able to get a wider angle of motion.
Have you tried the cheaper more basic type of pullup bars? This one seemed a bit less stable compare to those as this one sticks out a bit farther creating a long lever. And the metal around the wide grip portion looks a bit flimsy. The reason I ask is because I'm looking for a doorway pullup bar with a wide grip option that doesn't sacrifice stability. This bar seems more stable than others but still less stable than the one's without the wide grip option.
Hey William, That's odd that there's no gap. I'd say do it, but be careful not to swing or anything. Make sure you're doing strict, slow, pull-ups or you can get hurt, especially if you're swinging. Do it at your own risk. I used to do it before without the clip and it was fine, but, I wasn't swinging around with my pull-ups :D
Ru bothered by the sink when u grab the bar? I have a bodyrox bar but it doesn't have all the grip options. I'm worried this bar is not as stiff as bodyrox...
It does have some "sink" to it like you say but it's definitely sturdy. It does have a weight limit capacity so if you're not near it, don't worry about that :D
what about the whole thickness of the doorframe? mine is about 6.5 - 7 inches. would that work? I know other doorway pull up bars can be adjusted depending on the thickness of of your door frame.
Is it still working well?
Still have it to this day. it's great. feels brand new still!
@@ChrisPinedo that's great to hear! I just ordered mine from Amazon.
@@EricDongh2p lucky you, in the UK I can't find the elite anywhere

Glad I could help!
Thanks brother, been stuck at home, bought one right after watching.
That's awesome man! How many pull-ups can you do?
Thanks for the video!

Thanks for this review, i've been looking at a few different ones and was wondering what the advantage is to the elite vs the other models.
tino10k you’re welcome!
My door casing is 28”edge to edge. The bar is way too wide! How can I adjust it so that it fits and the pads fit on my door casing?

Can you do typewriter pull-ups?
I have the same pull up bar how many reps i need to do for pull ups and chin ups?
Hello pal,
There is no gap between my door and its frame.
What do you think about using the pull up bar without the safety clip?
Hey William,

Alright Chris.
Thank you for this answer :)
No worries!@@MrWilly64

When I received mine, the inside of the metal tubes were rusted. Is this normal?
DW mine too, put some WD-40 and all good
i think its not a good idea, all your body weight relies on the door frame, it can easily be broken in a couple of days.
Won’t this break the door frame
Not unless you have a very shi**y door frame :D Door frames can hold a lot.
How thick should the door frame be?
.5-1inch thick. It comes with a little hook to keep the bar in place also.

What is weight limit on it ?
It has a 300 lb weight capacity according to their website
