I remember when it just came out instantly watched and finished it and I felt instantly connected to characters and not because I want to become an actor but because these characters inspire hope and so are relatable. Each of them represents someone's dream.
This show introduced me to David Corenswet and I'm not mad about it

Archie Coleman, portrayed by Jeremy Pope, owned my heart the second he stepped in the show. Admired his confidence and wit. Cried seeing him helpless and rightly outraged. And celebrated his achievements and success.
My boy Jeremy has so much talent and potential and he's just getting started on TV!

Unfortunately for Camille being supposedly so talented, Laura Harrier was so wooden and awkward in her acting. Most of the younger cast was just okay, but I also think they got some thin material. Mainly Harrier, Criss and Weaving. Criss got a paper thin character that he did well enough with.
I completely agree. I have nothing against Laura Harrier but her acting in this series left me hungry for more. That's so sad because Camille is such a great character and has a good story. Also a bit disappointed that they focused the series on basically everyone but Raymond and Claire. Raymond passing for white (although he is not) is an interesting topic and even more so because he is dating someone (Camille) who does not. I would have loved to see more of how that affected their relationship and how that then affected their work in the business.
Agree! It was always like she was holding back but everyone else took it to the next level. Such a shame because I thought I would love her!
Agree. Laura was a weak actor compared to the others. Samara is a great actress but got a very weak material hence was not able to show her fullest potential.
Samara was pretty much scene stealer with what little she was given. I absolutely agree that this series doesn’t utilise Criss to his potential, but I suppose he’s had his “day” with ACS, so I don’t mind so much. Mind you, it’s nice to see the actor owning his ethnicity recently, since his success owes much to his being able to pass, even in this century.

David Corenswet is Clark Kent bruh. If Cavill ever has to drop out or can't continue as Superman it needs to be him. And not only is David
Superman but Jake Picking in the thumbnail practically is Bruce Wayne. His face is perfect. So chiseled looking with an amazing jaw. Not sure about the voice though. Normally I'd probably shoot down any superhero casting if they don't have the proper voice but this guy's look is so perfect I find myself thinking "maybe they could still work with it." Modulate his voice or something to give it more bass and power. There probably isn't a more perfect looking Bruce Wayne other than Ben Affleck or Jon Hamm.
If this gets a Season 2, please give Samara a better material to work on. She is a very talented actress but she wasnt able to show it in the show. Also, more Jeremy and Jake. Rock and Archie were my stand outs in the show.

Such a great, good-looking cast, but everyone else is so talented that the weaker actors, Laura and David, come across as stilted and even awkward at times.

I liked the show, but I think is overrated. The last 3 episodes felt super rushed, is almost like the creators intended to make more episodes but changed their minds during production.
Underrated? Really? If anything, I think it’s overrated. I clicked on the video expecting a ton of dislikes and a toxic comment section and I was completely shocked to find the opposite. When I read the reactions on google I was like...Jeez, people really don’t like this show....
I can agree with the last couple of episodes. They felt quick and too easy. I mean, a lot of the cast of their movie got Oscars...it just didn’t seem that easy and realistic for so many of them to get Oscars.
I agree, the last two episodes were just so cheesy and shmaltzy, all to give a happy ending.

The portrayal of Rock Hudson was awful. It made him look like a complete a buffoon.
This show started off with a good start, but it all turned to sh!t when half way through. This was completely unrealistic.
