Politicians and league commissioners are concern of corruption. Back in the day when players were getting paid very little money, that was a fair argument. Anyone can approach a baseball/football/basketball player and offer them $10K to throw a game and chances are they would take the money with absolute no guilt.
Now, if a corrupt gambler went and offered a first year rookie or a second year player the same $10K to throw a game, they would laugh in their face!
Players make much more money now then they did back in the day and theres less chance of corruption.

There is no way a team could get the amount of money they would need to make it worthwhile to "fix" game. Look the Pat's went into goaline defense, Carroll saw that and called for an easy pitch and catch they've made all year. The play not only Butler made but Brandon Browner was the greatest play in Super Bowl history. If Seahawks were going to gamble throwing ball inside 5 that was smart diwn to do it because like you even said "everyine knows to run ball there" This is why Pat's had goaline in and Seahawks tried to catch them. The clock was ticking down and people get nervous and make bad decisions under pressure, QBs & coaches but by no means was this "fixed" to give Pat's a better chance to win. This was not a bad call by a ref, just a great play by a player who was prepared and his CB partner Brandon Browner probably saw play in practice weekly when he was on Seahawks the year before. I can't believe he actually think this was "fixed."
If you go back and see fixed games they don't happen in pro sports other than when an NBA Ref had a gambling Jones and was in way over his head. The Boston College basketball team that had few player's get caught fir fixing were kids who got in over their heads and than were threatened by Mafia guys to shave a few points not blow a game on a national stage. Russell Wilson or Pete Carroll would make more of incentives, the $200,000 bonus super bowl winners get, advertising than they would ever get by "fixing" a game. You sir are the first and only person who has this take on this game. I'm not giving an OPINION about game not being fixed I'm just giving g straight facts. It was 2nd and goal after lynch was stopped at the 1/2 yard line 1 time out..clock running. The seahawks saw the patriots in a formatiin lynch has been stopped on earlier in the half. If they run the ball and get stopped they have to use there last time out. Then they are handicapped with 2 downs left and 20 seconds left they would have to pass. Expecially on 3rd down. If they didnt get it they would have to scramble with time going down..and if they have a penalty its over. Decision 2 pass was correct. Just a great play by butler

My take on making Sports Gambling legal in more or all States. It would take away from State Lotteries. I see some people easily risk $50 plus a week in scratch-off and lotto number tickets. Im no math expert but I know you have much better odds betting on sports in the long run. Hell you can do a three-team plus money line parlay. With $10 that may pay 7 to 1 payout.

The best year to do this doc would be 2018. I was a big house party with 98% Falcons fans in Buford GA. I told them all I bet on NE and they gave me so much shit for about 2.5 hours... I laughed my ass off for the last 40 minutes. I was a bit worried not gonna lie... but I did not lose faith.

'they have to win 54% of the time to make a profit' - where on earth does that figure come from? It depends on the odds they're getting on the bets they wager, and why 54%? You can make money with a 10% strike rate and lose money with a 90% one, it doesn't work like that, it's all about the ODDS

the patriots cover a majority of their 2nd half games in the playoffs < if their in the conference game, divisional game, or the superbowl take them to cover the spread on second half :)
the patriots dont cover their first game of week 1 of the regular season so take the OPPOSITE team to cover the spread on week 1 :) *their might be a reversal this year but next year it should be business as usual and they wont cover their first game*
