    Thank you!!! I've been anxiously waiting for this video since receiving the templates in my Sew Sampler! I'm a novice quilter, and haven't ventured into appliqué work yet--this video was helpful!

    I never thought of using my edge foot to do the blanket stitch. What a great idea.

    Wonderful tutorial, Kimberly. The light box is great for accuracy - love the blanket stitch too. Can't wait to get going with this project. Sincerely praying that you are able to get my December 2016 Sew Sampler Box to me.
    Happy quilting
    Fiona. Xx

    What number Bernina foot was used in video? Thank you so much!!!! (BTW I am just finishing up the Candy Dish design from the video that you did with Edyta Sitar. I changed the pattern from a table runner/topper to an actual quilt. I absolutely love your videos! I am very grateful.)

      We used a 10D edge foot for our orange peels.
      WOW - I bet your quilt is stunning. Thanks for sharing!

    Does your thread follow just along the edge of the peel, just to the inside or just on the outside?

    • @FatQuarterShopTX
      @FatQuarterShopTX  Před 7 lety +1

      Correct, your thread will be just to the edge of the peel. We used a blanket stitch so it will cross over your fabric to keep your shape in place. If you take a look at the 6:10 mark on the video you will see this better.

    Correct me if I am wrong, but this looks like it waste a lot of fabric

      lisa abreu I think it just looks that way because she was only making one. When you make a bunch from the same fabric you can put them much closer together before cutting.
