  • India Busts $1 Billion Hair Smuggling Racket; China Tops List of Buyers | Vantage with Palki Sharma
India's Enforcement Directorate (ED) has exposed a smuggling operation linked to human hair. Reports suggest that the ED is probing a case of human hair being illegally smuggled through India's borders to countries like China, Myanmar and Bangladesh. While India's investigative agencies probe the matter, it prompts a crucial question: how big is the black market for Indian human hair? Palki Sharma brings you decodes.

The whole issue is not hair smuggling, it was unwanted stuff to begin with. However when someone found a use for them , suddenly the Indian authorities want to place a tax on them being exported out. If you make wigs in India for export. Greedy people will still want to tax you (maybe a larger amount because it is finished product) no matter what because they can't bear to see others make money!
