I wouldn't mind some algae for a natural look but too much. That 135 is such an eye catcher with the algae! Beautiful tanks

    Troy,
Awesome advice. I love how you really broke down all the options and didn’t want to push chemicals on people. Those algae chemicals can do more harm than good. They could kill the fish if there isn’t a lot of oxygen in the tank. ❤😊

Good video. Otos, nerites, and floating plants really make a difference in my tanks. The floaters reduce the light getting into the tank, as well as suck up nitrates like a sponge. I realize they aren't for everyone.

Die Hauptursachen für ein übermäßiges Erscheinen der Algen hast du gut erklärt, obwohl es natürlich noch andere Gründe geben wird .... 😉

What kind of fish is that in the 40 gallon tank at 3:52 in the video? Very colorful cichlid, maybe geophagus type...

What would be a good Central American stocking for a 75 gallon that’s over filtered I’ve seen your 75 preaditor tank but was that enough space for them permanently

Those Cubans that he has would work for a pair but not permanent in the future due to size and harassing aggression if spawning. They would need a larger tank eventually or divider.
A shoal of firemouth cichlids of 5-6, would work in a longer tank such as 125 gallon. Central American cichlids are hit or miss, trial and error.
A group of Honduran red point cichlids would work great with dithers. A group of rainbow cichlids. Like mentioned, hit or miss with central americans in 75 gallon. You could try firemouth with Honduran red points. Jack dempsey would work but they get aggressive and put on size down the road.
If you were to try central american community, try and locate species that gets no bigger than 6-7 inches and try all females or all males because once they start spawning, watch out lol.
Or you can do a single wet pet like pearlscale, Midas and few others that get no bigger than 10-12 inches, but single fish only!

@@KoltonDrum not a problem. You can do it, but hit or miss. Central Americans are nothing like Africans except for close water parameters. Bigger the tank, the better

I use a shower scrubber. Or a magnet cleaner by hand in the tank to be mindful of scratching
