Nobel Prize lecture: World Food Programme, Nobel Peace Prize 2020

Executive Director David Beasley of the World Food Programme delivers his Nobel Prize lecture during the Nobel Peace Prize ceremony in Oslo, Norway on 10 December, 2021.
The Nobel Peace Prize 2020 was awarded to World Food Programme (WFP) "for its efforts to combat hunger, for its contribution to bettering conditions for peace in conflict-affected areas and for acting as a driving force in efforts to prevent the use of hunger as a weapon of war and conflict."

Dear David: You have made me weep in pain. I saw how a child passed her night hungry in Bangladesh, my country. Hunger is no more that a crisis in my country. But when I find children in Afghanistan, Somalia, and other countries facing hunger I just ask questions to the Almighty. No answer I heard. You, on behalf of God, have answered those questions.
