Wow, I've been watching CZcams videos about farms(much smaller than yours), in Oklahoma. I'm Saskatoon born and raised, and had no idea that your farm even existed. I've watched quite a few of your vlogs in the past week and am amazed by your farm, your professionalism, and your vlogging abilities. Goodbye Oklahoma, hello Saskatchewan!👍🇨🇦

The amount of information that you've learn thus far in your life is impressive. Your mom and dad have been good role models for you and your sister. Wish your family lots of success in the
dairy business. As your entire family knows every day is challenging , your families work ethic is admirable!.

Oh the joys of spring mud and slop. Last spring I had the same thing happen to me when I was feeding my heifers. Had to get through knee deep mud and manure to get to the bunks. It thawed so quickly down here in Kansas that we couldn't move the bunks onto concrete in time. Greetings from a fellow dairyman

Jan do do you have a video of your chute system and sweep tub working, would love to see that. I really enjoy your videos and watching the way y’all do things. It looks like y’all have a top of the line set up. All dairy farmers work hard and long hours for and deserve every penny they make. I try and watch all your videos. Thanks from Tennessee

Well, I'll be! I've always called that manual thermostat a thermometer! 😀
I can relate to that tire! I have been slowly leaking for awhile now! 😀
Isn't that how kids used to get worms? Back when my mom was young kids would go barefoot on the farm. Mainly because they were poor. It caused them to catch worms.

Don’t ever plan to have anything to do on your long weekends it never happens pens that way always something comes up or happens. Happy Easter to you all . Here we our in spring mold nasty weather some farmers did get out in fields to till and disc plus put fertilizer or lime on fields. Getting ready to plant in fields if the weather cooperate . My neighbor milks over 600 head of cows got 40 heads of cow’s going to have calves maybe milking will be quick this month . They sale the bull calves and save the females to raise for breeding and milking.
Always get extra fuel line’s and hoses and blades oil filter’s , and tire kits .
But manure helps your feet if you have soar feet or cuts it burns and heals them up. Especially if you have poison ivy it kills the itching .

  • @alecfromminnenowhere2089

The suction that held your boot in the muck can happen with vehicles and equipment also.
When I've winched out 4X4's, construction equipment, etc. out of the muck I pull on them, then stop. Then when the leaf springs
on the truck release I know the suction has released the vehicle.
Then I winch it the rest of the way out.

As a kid I was hand milking Old Bess. She lost it in the stall and tried to kick me through the field goal of life. I land in the manure gutter which was fresh. I was soaked head to toe. I headed to the house. Mom was washing dishes and saw me coming. I had to strip and get hosed down in the yard. 2 lessons-- be gentle and clean the gutter before milking... It took a couple days and lots of perfume and tomato juice to smell normal..

Jan try using Tire ject. Its not cheap. But will save you so much money in tires. And the best part. After you put it in the tire. It stays good. It does not go bad. So if you put it in a tire and don't puncture it for 5 years. It'll still seal. Seriously check them out.

When I was a kid I had an incident like that with a wet gap which had a yellow clay/glarr in it. My dad sent me in to drive out some cattle that shouldn't have been there, so I came through the gap, first step lost my welly, second lost my other welly, next step lost my sock, then my other one. My dad just stood laughing at me and I couldn't get the welly boots out for love nor money! They were proper stuck. Actually thinking about it, they might be still there!

A while back my daughter stepped into her rubber boots while they were on the deck, and there was a mouse in the toe area.
