Great story and having Kevin as the narrator seals the deal every time. Having just finished the story The Road, this is a breath of much needed fresh air.

Love to listen to Kevin, great narrator. It’s an awesome story, love the way it brings more story about Marcus Battle, I thought I had read all the books based around Battle, so I was ecstatic to find this one.

Love the story especially since my family settled there and goes back to 1900. My great grandmother, my grandmother and my mother all were raised there. My father is buried there along with my great grand parents and grandparents not to mention Uncles, Aunts and cousins. Spent summers there with my grandparents etc etc. I have a Cousin that owns a large ranch just outside of town.

I'm only 16 minutes in, but not really liking this very much. I seriously don't think this book is for me.
It is written a bit differently than the rest of the Marcus series. But I'm enjoying the in-depth story of his 1st 3 years after the epidemic.
