Just to let you know, the other co-writer of the song, BC Jean, was the first to sing the song as well as the person the song came from. Per Toby, they played it for Beyonce one day and she really wanted to sing and use this song, and the rest you say is history. Angelina and Toby have been working together for a while now and are creating new music for her to sing. They teased a song at a special event called Bad Valentine and it should be coming out within a few months. This collaboration is awesome! The Piano Diaries is Toby's project of other singers singing his most famous songs. Angelina of course is singing this song made famous by Beyonce.

Great reaction! Toby Gad, the original co-writer of the song (with BC Jean) is on the piano for this one. He's recreating some of his songs and chose Angelina to sing this one. They are also collaborating on creating some originals, including "Bad Valentine", which should be released in the coming months.

A cover only in the sense that what Beyoncé made was a cover of the song written by BC Jean and Toby Gad, originally performed by Jean in 2008. Beyoncé's cover was that same year.
In this video the pianist is Toby Gad .. the Piano Diaries are a celebration of his hit songs. He invited Angelina to England with him to perform .. this is the fourth version I have heard. I am not sure if it is really a cover when a singer is standing next to the composer as they jam to create a different version of the song.
