      Make outline strokes for those letters, then simply copy the vector and paste it to FontCreator. Simple CTRL C CTRL V

    Hi there,
    is it good to add design/creative at the end of your brand
    name. I hear mixed answers on this. Some people say add when starting
    off others says don't add it. As a graphic designer I currently I have
    design at the end of my unique name. It's been running for 1 year now
    but don't know if i should remove to make it shorter. Your advice would
    really help.
    Thanks

    Again, awesome video man! Definitely giving this a go tomorrow. One thing I'd like to add though: at around the 17 minute mark, you explain that we could unite all 4 letters together using the pathfinder panel, or if we prefer we could group them so we can easily ungroup them if we want. However, after some googling (since I wondered what the unite option in the pathfinder would do with separate objects), I've found that, when you have shapes that don't touch, as is with your letters, the unite option in the pathfinder panel will actually group them as well. Any thoughts on this?

    • @ForeverDansky
      @ForeverDansky  Před 7 lety +2

      Thanks Maikel. Yes if you select all letters and 'Unite' in the pathfinder panel it will turn into one complete shape, which kind of behaves very similarly to a group - in that you can select the whole thing as one, or use the Direct Selection Tool to select individual letters. Personally, I like to 'Unite' all letters/shapes once a design is totally finished, and Group shapes together whilst the design is still being actively developed. Hope this is helpful :)

    • @mversantvoort
      @mversantvoort Před 7 lety

      Dansky Thanks, so it isn't exactly the same and I was wrong. Seems like a good idea yeah to combine everything into 1 shape that you can't simply alter anymore when you've finished your design, I'll remember that.

    When aligning the dot above the 'i' and the line from the 't' the Vertical Align Bottom tool moves both shapes to the very bottom of the page - am I missing something? (I want to add that I just discovered your videos today and I've learned so much already, thanks so far!)

    • @ForeverDansky
      @ForeverDansky  Před 7 lety

      Awesome, glad you're enjoying the videos Craig!
      When you have both shapes selected, at the top there's an icon (looks kind of like an artboard shape) if you click that you can choose what to align to. Select "Align to Selection" and it will stop aligning your shapes to the very bottom of your artboard :)
