I did the loop yesterday, definitely some good and bad. Great trail for a weekend hike though

Wow that logging is a huge bummer. Yeah I can sense the disappointment, but still better than being at work 😉

Thanks Acorn! I'm going to hike this loop on the Solstice. Also finishing the Michigan Triple Crown so might as well. My favorite is definitely the Jordan River Pathway which I want to rehike one of these days. Love the music as always.

A solstice hike on the Fife Lake Loop sounds lovely! Good luck on completing the Triple Crown and thanks for watching 😊

Thank you for doing a video on this trail. This one has been on my radar for a while but seeing how Hwy 131 runs smack dab through the middle of the trail, that always gave me pause. Always try to avoid road noise whenever possible in the back country haha. It just didn't seem remote enough for my taste, and my suspicions were confirmed with all the residential/private property you had to skirt around. But, at least you've got one more trail checked off your list! Any thoughts on doing North Manitou or Isle Royale? Both are on my Michigan bucket list and would enjoy seeing you do a video on one or both!

Yeah it's definitely not the right trail if you're looking for seclusion. I started planning a trip to Isle Royale for this summer but the ferry prices were a little too steep for this year's budget. I've never heard of North Mantiou, but it looks pretty great! Definitely secluded. And the ferry prices look to be a bit more in budget. Thanks for the recommendation. I'd be very interested in planning a trip there.

Nice to see a video from you. Do you have any plans to hike with your old crew again?

Thanks for the MI videos! I am thinking of possibly moving somewhere near Traverse City, maybe. I was in Bellingham, WA a month ago and so far, that might be my front runner. Based on the music you chose for your vids, I think you might dig this song. : )

Traverse City is a beautiful place! If you end up moving out that way definitely check out the cherry festival. And the Jordan River Pathway is only about a 45 minute drive away. Thank you for sending the song! I thought it was lovely. The drummer jumping in with background vocals was a nice surprise too lol.

@@trailtakers9277 I'm glad you enjoyed the song. : ) The drummer and lead singer are actually brothers! They harmonize pretty well most times. Thanks for the recommendation. If I make the move there, I probably won't be able to fully escape the cherry festival. Those cherries seem like a big deal to folks from that region! I really like some of the MTB and off road trails I'm finding. : ) So much water as well....
