- It's the smallest handheld stethoscope I have come across. Once paired to your mobile device, it allows you to take a listen to the sounds of the body in real-time with unlimited recording.
WHERE TO BUY

The best feature about the Stemoscope is the ability to listen to the heart in real-time. This proves to be great for educational purposes, for example, if you are a medical student, a nurse or simply someone who is intrigued about the sounds of the body. The sound quality is very good and captures the heart well. Would I use this for my day to day job? Well, there's a certain prestige carrying a stethoscope around your neck and certainly the quality of the sound transmitted in-ear is much better than that from a mobile device. However, as someone who likes to educate my viewers on the sounds of the body this is a great addition to my collection and I cannot wait to share more educational videos with you.
PROS
Lightweight 30g
Unlimited recording
Up to 5 hours usage
Very small
Bluetooth to mobile device
Cheap - around $100 AUD
Easy to use device and App
Works 2m apart
Able to use bell/ diaphragm and both
Able to amplify sound
Great hobbiest listening device.
Best used with headphones plugged into mobile device
CONS
Sound quality not as good as an in-ear stethoscope
Doesn't replace the prestige of classic stethoscope
Requires a mobile device to use
CONCLUSION
This is a great tool if you're interested in learning more about particular heart, lung or bowel sounds. It would be a useful aid for exam preparation and it looks futuristic. I'll certainly be keeping mine to film more beautiful sounds of the body.

It's really cool and fascinating to hear the doctor's heart :)
But very lovely I have to say
Thanks for watching David 👍
Dr Nora | Cosmetic Doctor & GP you're welcome :)
I have been getting a lot of hate from people on my Facebook messenger account because of the obsession with hearts and heartbeats sounds but I found a select few that are OK with my obsession. And actually me allow to hear it on audio recordings or two through voice or video chat I found that if you put a microphone to your chest you could actually hear your heartbeat to voice chat pretty cool.
Sorry to hear that Jessica, but remember, you're not alone and a lot of people are fascinated by the heart. I'm glad you've found some people to share your lovely audio recordings with. That is pretty cool you can hear it through a microphone, I must try that!
Dr Nora, I have followed Heartbeat forums and blogs for many years. And there are heartbeat lovers all over the world! In fact, the Japanese enjoy the human heartbeat most of all. If you search other CZcams videos, you will find this is TRUE!
i think it’s cool Dr Nora cause i have a stethoscope and i take off my shirt to listen to my heart and when you were talking about it being relaxing i find it relaxing and my heartbeat helps me sleep better to
Am in my 5th year in medical school love watching your videos.Thank u Dr
Thanks for watching Richmond, I'm glad you're enjoying them and best of luck in your studies 👍
That’s amazing. And your heart sounds great!
Thanks for watching Doc 🧑⚕️
I can't believe a lady doc having one of the highest littman stethoscopes is talking of this little invention with such great excitement and energy... Well, I already bought it... But not yet delivered.. But now I have have no doubt about its quality. Thanks for this wonderful video... From India. .
Note: I liked it😇
anurag where can i get this item
Thanks Anurag, you're welcome, I'm glad you found it useful :)
Hi Nischita, you can find a link in the description of the video.
You have a great heartbeat! S2 is really snappy!! I have the same Littmann 3200 it was $300 in the US. Are you a secret cardiophile?...lol
I'm weird, because I preferred the Littmann sounds! Thanks so much for making this video. Idk if I'll get a stemoscope partially because I'm not crazy about the fact that it only works with the app. I wish it could just be used alone with headphones. I love the unlimited recording feature, though. Your heart sounds really lovely; thanks for sharing.
You have a delightful sounding heartbeat. Please make a longer video of your heart beating.
Thanks for watching and a great suggestion 👍
Yes i agree lol
Definitely going to look into getting one, seems neat!
It’s very cool isn’t it! Thanks for watching 😊
Good stuff! I like the sounds of both honestly. Whatever you think is more convenient to use.
Thanks for sharing your opinion Ironbear 👌
Would you be able to use a electrocardiograph in any of your next heart exam videos?
The stemoscope actually sounds better to me. It's more natural sounding.
Thanks for sharing Faye, very interesting 🧐
Nora, when are you going to make videos of the new Stemoscope PRO? And or compare the sound quality with the normal and PRO? I cant wait to hear your heartbeat with the PRO.
your heart beat sounds beautiful
i love your learning vids beacause its very wonderfull in my job❤
Happy to hear that!
Please make a video recording the sound of all your heart valves plss
Great suggestion, thanks for watching 😊
I must admit, i was a bit skeptic....but that sounds way better then the over amplified Littmann..how cool would it be if we bought this one and flood your channel with our recordings so you could analyze them :D, great and informative channel also..just wanted to include that.
Thanks Sjoerdwm for your nice comment and what a great idea!
@@drnora Hello! Dr Nora .
Thanks! Another nice video!!!
Thanks for watching 😊
Do you think you might do a video on how to listen to bowel sounds in the future? I'd like to see how you do it!
Thanks Peter, it certainly is on my to-do list, I'll have one out soon. 👍
I second this motion!
Oh yes. I've just thought of something about the Stemoscope that didn't occur to me before?
When the Stemoscope goes on your skin, does it feel cold? You know, like how a conventional stethoscope often does...
Hi Peter, great question, it doesn't feel cold like a conventional stethoscope :)
@@drnora Ah, I see.
Must be some sort of plastic or something, rather than metal. The plastic obviously won't conduct heat away from the skin in the same way that metal does.
I also want to know if you can send your heart sounds to friends by a mp3 or mp4 format to your friends on Facebook or other social medias you use
The app does allow you to record and save the sound which you can then email and share 👍
Very cool heart beat can we see a video of a echo of your own heart
Can you hear murmurs (1 and 2/6), rales, rhonchi and wheezes?
Hi Jack, the device is not intended for clinical use, however it does pick up some sounds.
How about a situation that the patient can record the sound and then send it to his/her doctor to listen to?
Wonderful device but as a intensivist myself I thing the design is not made well to grab the fingers over the diaphragm. It should and should be a bell even when the tube is absent
Great vidio how is the electronic stethhoscope different from the manual stethoscope?
Im heard of hearing would this help me be able to to hear heart bears and everything i am starting my certification program as a CNA so i want to make sure i get something that will help
Hi Ashley, you may want to check out their latest device over here: czcams.com/video/3TF-s3AZHtU/video.html. The Stemoscope Pro is FDA approved and can be used in clinical practice. With the amplification ability it will help you to hear more clearly. Best wishes.
Love it and I love that...I love that sound!
Thanks so much Jessica 😊
Where can I buy that, that is Device I want to get it it’s so cool.
Hi Jessica, there's a link in the description.
Thanks again I love your videos
Thanks for all your support Jessica 😊
Dr Nora | Cosmetic Doctor & GP of course. I love the medical Field since I was really little.
❤️
Any idea if it can be used to hear the bruit sounds of the avg or avf?
Dr Nora. I will create mobile app to record heart sounds .can i use stmscope in my
application
I mean is stmscope with its API
Can i know if it can be used in a OPD with suspected COVID patients? There will be a physical glass barrier between the patient and doctor. Are the lung sounds good enough ?
Hi Harmeet, the Stemoscope has not been cleared by the FDA to be used as a medical device and as such, is not recommended to use in a clinical situation.
Honestly the Stemoscope kinda sounds better, at least to me. Shocking.
It’s very good isn’t it. Thanks for watching Benson 😊
Hey doc ! Can we use in our routine practice?
Hi Pragnesh, good question but unfortunately the Stemoscope is not designed to be used in clinical practice.
I don't understand why I like the sound? Is it werid that I do?
Hi Lauren, not weird at all, in fact some people use these sounds for various reasons such as falling asleep. Best wishes :)
@@drnora thanks!! I didn't you you would actually respond
Which country r u from!?🙂

Hi 7th Gift, there's a link in the description - currently it's $60.

Does the app flag any abnormalities
Hi P, the application does not as it is not to be used for diagnostic purposes.
How much is the cost

What is the normal bpm of the normal heart rate?
Hi, this really depends on each individual. Your medical doctor will be able to give you your target numbers.
@@drnora Your heartbeat was 45 bpm

Stemoscope
Thanks for sharing Ben. It’s very interesting isn’t it 👍
Have you herd a thing called asmr what does it stand for
Hi Ben, yes it is very popular. It stands for Autonomous Sensory Meridian Response, which, simply put, is when people get a feeling of well-being and a tingling sensation in the scalp to the neck usually from a particular sound eg. whispering or even heartbeats.
So thats what it stants for thank doc
Stemoscope sounds better.
Thanks for sharing your opinion Peter 👍
Nora dr check your belly sounds I want you show video
