I figured this out quite by accident. I got a Discover Rewards card and saw how quickly my rewards accumulated. I switched everything payment over to my card. Cell phone, groceries, cable, etc. Then I paid off the card in full and early every month. No more interest but tons of rewards. The rewards can be used as cash and even pay the card bill the next month. My credit score is about 830 now. No debt except for mortgage and now working on that. ❤️ Thank you for sharing these videos!

That’s what I do too. I take my rewards and get gifts cards for restaurants and that’s how we pay to eat out. I rarely pay for meals out and I use this as a free treat.

Stocks are pretty unstable at the moment, but if you do the right math, you should be just fine. Bloomberg and other finance media have been recording cases of folks gaining over 250k just in a matter of weeks/couple months, so I think there are alot of wealth transfer in this downtime if you know where to look.

What do you mean throw your income into the credit card?
@@pmmm8440 Instead of making a bare minimum $250 CC payment, you instead make a large payment up to, or equal to your income. Then you use this CC to pay for your expenses (food, gas, electric, etc). This reduces your monthly interest on your CC because the average daily balance for the month is less, and also frees up the need to make a separate $250 CC payment over and above your regular bills (if everything is paid out of the checking account).

If your debt is growing by $20,000/year, no LOC will help. That means you are spending about $1670/month too much. A LOC is just another type of loan with more flexibility. It won’t fix the core issue.

Thanks for sharing your back story. I was a stay at home wife for almost 20 years, and then got divorced. This resulted in financial devastation; no career, no savings, and over 60. Working your system to get my financial and personal life back.
I think the key to this method is to have a budget and see what has to come out of your checking account normally and not to spend anything outside your budget on the credit card your paying off.
That would help the strategy!

I have been researching the velocity banking strategy and initially thought of going the HELOC route; but banks are being a pain to apply to so I'm changing my strategy to PLOC or just credit card. Thank you for your videos! I have learned so much from you and beginning my velocity banking journey. You make Dave Ramsey look like an amateur.
I love doing this with the walmart card since get 5% cash back for online orders so do the online grocery pickup. Feeding a family of 6 with food and necessities easily amounts to 1k a month and so get 50+ a month in rewards. I started doing that when carried a balance so was paying interest and kinda just paid the amount to credit card when did 300 pickup order and realized that satusfied the monthly payment already and then would be charged 25 in interest but brought in 40 in rewards so offset the interest was paying

I enjoyed my Welding Work in the Navy, I was a 2nd Class Hull Tech on Sub Tenders. I worked in the Sheetmetal Shop Welding Stainless, Aluminum, Brass, and some other very expensive and unusual metals using Tig Welders. I really enjoyed it. The first card I got I had been doing this without even knowing what I was doing, and then we lost a job and moved and was suddenly in debt since 2016 and I couldnt figure out how to get out, so I solidified/consolidated CC into a personal loan but also added in the car so the usual car payment is going to the payment for all that. And I really want to get this 35k out of my life so I can get my mortgage out of my life.. and I’m struggling to find the way that will work to do this, I’ll keep watching your videos and hopefully I can jump in without fear soon.

I had this idea years ago, and I told someone about my idea and she said oh you better be careful. So I didn't do it. I wish I hadn't listened to her and just did it. Thank you for validating my idea and for showing me the correct way to implement this!!
She wasn’t wrong. You do have to be very careful. Not to overspend, and in case of emergency/unexpected expense.
The one main thing that have seen happen is the credit card company lowering the credit limit once you put the large payment on it and so you don't have the available limit to use that card after all your money went on it.
@@Bamapride1985 this was my thought exactly! With all the unpredictable and illegal banking practices going on what's to stop them from slashing the credit lines or shutting them down entirely? This stuff does happen and then what?
