  • A live performance of one of the most famous Renaissance choral works by the Choir of Saint Ignatius of Antioch, New York City, James Kennerley, Organist & Music Director; Father Andrew Blume, Rector. Sung as the Tract at the Great Vigil Easter, Saturday 5th April, 2015.
Like as the hart desireth the water-brooks: so longeth my soul after thee, O God. My soul is athirst for God, yea, even for the living God: when shall I come to appear before the presence of God? My tears have been my meat day and night: while they daily say unto me, Where is now thy God?
First published in 1584 , Motectorum liber secundus, 4vv, Venice.

I like when all the tenor entries are confident and not drowned out by the sopranos. This version respects the tenor line. The effect here is mystical and floating. Bravo!
