Ashlena, when Angelina was a little girl, her japanese grandfather took her with him into Oslo, where he helped the homeless community with food and sometimes, a job.
The streets of Oslo saw her growing up.
When he knew his time was coming, he told AJ: Stay true to yourself and you will never regret what you do. I´ll be on the moon, see everything you do. You'll never be alone.
To honor her beloved maternal grandfather, she helps the homeless community in LA, but discreetly. We, the fans, only by chance, discovered it, but it is a fact.

Angelina released two other videos for this song. The audio you've heard was recorded live in the studio with some extra visuals added, whereas she initially put out a more produced version accompanied by animations she did with her grandmother, which she followed up with the same recording as a music video in which her younger sister Juliette plays a young Angelina and their uncle, Angelina's manager Michael, plays the grandfather about whom she wrote the song.

This song she wrote after her grandpa died. Their is three versions of it. The studio version,, the lyric version is her grandma's painting animated with lyrics, and then there is a home movie version at her grandma and grandpa's house (we think) the little girl in the video is her little sister Juliette playing a younger version of AJ and the man playing grandpa is her uncle Mike who is also her manager ,, Angelina wrote this about 14 years old and the studio version was sang when she was 15

It's true, this song and performance felt so natural and genuine. Angelina poured her heart into this song in reminiscence of her late grandfather. One could tell that the words mean a lot to her. This song was written during the pandemic and many people who lost someone could relate to the feelings that Angelina expressed.

Love that this song found a place in your heart ❤️ Million Miles is very special to me because its have helped me heal my loss of my dad at a very young age ❤️ My dad was only 37 years old when died and i was only 13 years old then. At both concerts in Norway last summer she performed this song even more emotional and incredible and you have to listen to it ❤️ That ending still rings through my heart and soul ❤️ Both the Kongsberg and Sandefjord performance of Million Miles was incredible 👍 Wish you an amazing day 👍

Angelina wrote this after the passing of her grandfather. Many of the lyrics come directly from experiences with him and things he said to her.
I read in an interview that he had told her that he would be watching her from the moon and see everything she does which she references in the song.
He used to take with him to feed the homeless which may be what the opening line “When I was a child I walked the streets…etc” is about.
She said that he had told her that if she remained true to herself she would never have regrets so the line “I’ll never regret what I do” probably refers to this.
That’s so interesting. My brother in law passed away this year and I always tell my 2 year old he’s with the blue moon. 😭😭😭

Republic brought in Stargate, a Grammy winning duo to work with her and they share the writing credit. The essence of the song is from Angelina and "refined" with Stargate. They have produced many well known artists, but none as young as Angelina (14). Stargate has produced Jessie Reyez (your Toronto performer), Beyonce, Sam Smith, Mariah Carey, Riaanna, Jennifer Hudson, Katy Perry, Jennifer Lopez, Mary J Blythe, etc. It's an impressive list and shows the commitment to her.

Thinking of my mum one evening I decided I wanted to listen to Gloomy Saturday and, odd for me as I usually can’t listen to child singers, I noticed AJ’s performance on NGT and clicked..I was moved to tears, stunned by her voice and have listened to her every day for the last three years or so. For me, AJ is my mums last gift to me. To see you so moved by this song brought me to tears.

Angelina was Norways youngest published author at 9 years old. Non of her family were singers or musicians. Her grandma was also a child prodigy a poet and artist. She encouraged Angelina to keep a diary from a really early age. This is why we know she has plenty of material ready to develope. ANGELINA wrote SHIELD and performed it at 12. She may only be 12 but its a great song.
I think she was about 13 or 14 years hold in this video. She is now 17 years old.

The artist and song which changed my life for the better, by giving me hope. I never wept to any song until "Million Miles" debuted. Angelina had, without me realizing it, moved me emotionally through the first 8 months of listening to her. I was then primed to properly finish the grieving process, after losing 5 loved ones in 3+ years prior to learning of Angelina. I truly believe the hardest part of slow walking Angelina's career was, this song remains relatively unknown to the general public. One of many reasons why I have introduced hundreds of people to Angelina in real life and likely thousands here on CZcams.

An original classic by Angelina, the perfect way to start the day in the UK ( 7 am ) . Such a wonderful tribute to her granddad, brings a tear every time ( 1000 + ) . It is not only my favourite AJ track but in my top 5 ever. She did a live version in Norway last year and slowed it down even more and it is Stunning. Wonderful reaction, love the passion for this performance.

You’re not the only one blown away by this song. It was upon hearing this very song that drove the decision of the president of Universal Music Group, owner of Republic Records, to to sign her up ASAP. That was when she was 14.
So amazing that it made you think about your grandmother since she wrote this song about her grandfather shortly after he passed. Knowing that about the song, listen to it again. So many of her recent videos show her interacting with her grandmother. Family has always been so important to her.

Angelina lost both of her grandfathers within a very short time, she sang a song after her first grandfathers passing that is almost unwatchable, not because it isn’t one of the most beautiful performances she has ever done, but because of the emotional transfer, as you should know by now Angelina can transfer emotion in a song and make you believe everything she sings, and it’s been that way since she first auditioned for Norway’s Got Talent, but when Angelina’s emotions are raw, the. She transfers so much emotion that it’s almost unbearable.
Her artistry is not just being able to sing, it’s the ability to emote which brings the viewer, or listener, into her space. That cannot be taught, it can be developed to another level, but that’s something she was born with, and it should be no surprise, the way she approached that other little girl when she was 6 and gave that girl the shoes off her feet, should tell us everything we need to know about the kind of person Angelina Jordan is, and the person she will become!

Great reaction and there are many similar reactions from people who have also lost. But this song wasn't written for her, it was written by her. Both music and lyrics are largely her own. Her feelings in the song are genuine and in an interview she once said that she actually struggled emotionally singing the song. With her originals What is Life - Shield - Oslo - Million Miles - 7Th heaven and the new EP, Angelina proves that at her young age she is not only one of the best, if not the best singer. She is also a great songwriter. The compositions and also their lyrics are absolutely amazing

I have watched this video at least 100 times, and watching you as you watched it, it brought tears to my eyes yet again. THIS is why I watch 'reaction' videos. For the persons 'reaction'. I enjoy their thoughts on it at the end, but for me, it ruins the flow of the song when they pause so often and talk for several minutes during the song. Great job young lady.
