The book was amazing, I knew it was going to be a banger when Greg looks hyped in the cover and having more Rodrick is never a disappointment I give it a 12/10 it’s definitely a top 5 for me already

I watched your videos in middle school and remembered them when reading this book-- I hadn't seen your channel in years and it's amazing to find your MUSIC TASTE: Tears for Fears fan? Killers fan? Arctic Monkeys fan? Correctly says the best Bowie song is Moonage Daydream?? Amazing!!! Girl u have TASTE!! and School of Rock is one of my favorite movies! Diper Overlode reminded me of it too. Love the book and your videos!!

Book six was a vibe no lie
Well, it was a lot better than Big Shot, that's for sure. In fact, this might be the first actual good Wimpy Kid book since The Meltdown. I enjoyed the story, and there were a lot of twists and turns, plus some laughs, too. Plus, unlike most modern Wimpy Kid books where practically every school day or sleepover has to be dragged out for as long as possible, the entries in this one felt more concise and less filler-heavy.
BUT, there was one major flaw that this book had, and that was the fact that there was too much focus on Rodrick. I know that might come as a shock to you, but hear me out. The mainline Diary Of A Wimpy Kid books are intended to be Greg's journals, talking about his life. But in this book, the story seems to revolve around Rodrick more than Greg. In fact, half the time, Greg's writing about events that he wasn't even there to see firsthand. I think this would've worked better if it was Rodrick's own journal, in the same vein as Rowley's DOAAFK journal.
I agree, this book definitely surpassed big shot in my ranking very quickly. I think the plot and timing of the events made for a really good story flow, and the pace (unlike some books like big shot) was easy to follow. Even as a diehard rodrick fan, I don't see myself enjoying one of rodrick's own journals, especially because I could never see Rodrick's character owning one in the first place. I really enjoyed this one, but I really like your perspective on it, too.

I didn't like the book honestly I thought it was weird that they took the focus off greg and put on Rodrick and his band. The thing that makes these books so great is that they are relatable but this book was not at all. No Rowley or any other members of the family except for Rodrick were in the book and honestly it was stupid how that every single idea they had came from one stupid band metal Chihuahua like do these guys not know any other bands. Either way good vid but I thought this was one of the worst diary of a wimpy kid books
😂 Metallichihuahua was definitely a funny inspiration. But, I personally liked that in this book the spotlight shifted to greg and his brother. Virtually all of the other books in this series, and especially the early books, have been about greg, his family, school, and Rowley. Unless we want to keep reading books that are basically the same as hard luck on repeat, we are going to need some change of scenery. Jeff kinney has been writing about the same people, in the same stage of life, in the same situations for decades. And, as much as we might want to tell him to write more books like dog days, there's only so many that can be written. Yes, the focus was shifted to rodrick, but from the focus on his family (5,6,9,10,12,14,15) to the focus on school and rowley (7,11,13) I think this is more of a welcome change of scenery than a book like big shot. But, everyone has favorites and ones they don't like, thanks for sharing your take!

This was the worst book of the whole entire series, not funny at all, I usually read the diary of a wimpy kid in one day and this one took me 4 days to finish. Greg isn’t the focus at all, we don’t see the family dynamics, etc
