- I dusted off the DIY Truck Bed camping setup I made for my Ford Ranger on this trip. Sleeping in a 5 foot bed has it's challenges but It made for an enjoyable night despite heavy wind and rain, followed by freezing temps! Mike from @bnatural2 joined me on this local river front camping adventure. We were hoping to snag a trout for the last day of the season here, but were perfectly happy hanging out and cooking up some good food. I had fun making this video so I hope you enjoy it! Nice spot! A little small but a great view of the river! :) That sandbar makes a nice kayak launch when the river is lower.

Sure was! Believe me I'll be hitting that spot this summer. Probably land a boat there coming from up river.

Thanks! To be honest I'd have to look at the map and figure that out! But from my favorite put in it could take a couple hours to get to this area. But I usually have a slow pace. I fish along the way and mostly just let the river take me.

What canopy are you using off the back of the truck?
It's just an REI camp tarp. It's a 12x12. And used some tarp poles.
