Perfection! I far prefer them live... I don't know, something seems lost on their studio recordings. Maybe over produced? But they never quite seem to truly reproduce the emotion and vitality of hearing them live.
The first time I heard them they went by a different name(Dearborn). They were a last minute edition to a local set in Portland. They did one song acapella because that's all the last minute addition had time for. The room went silent. I saw them live 2 more times after that while still under their previous name and it was the same story. There was no chatter in between phrases or pauses. Complete silence. They captured every single person's attention. I will never forget those performances.
