Yamaha PF 2000 Rom Cartridge (Bank 1)

The rare Yamaha PF-2000 was a digital piano that was essentially two DX7ii's in a single 88-key weighted controller. I've never played one in real life but the AFTERTOUCH article states it contains two complete DX7ii engines- thus maintaining 16-voice polyphony even in dual or split modes. It came with a cartridge similar, but not identical to the DX7ii's factory presets. In fact, they seem to have refined some of the envelopes and pitch EG to be a bit less exaggerated. At some point I'll upload a spreadsheet of the patch names for comparison.

I agree- although the plogue vst is quite good. Still, nobody has emulated a true mark2 dx7 and the dual and unison modes is what makes the mark2 so special.
