Movie idea: *Chairs.*
Plot: A wooden chair called Thunder LeKing always gets sat on, so he seeks to go to Soviet Russia and sit on humans. But in the process, he is bothered by a rich mahogany chair called Fater.
Interesting, right?

Great idea! I am thinking of making that parody of the Cars franchise! XD
BEST
MOVIE
EVER
*Sony Would Like To Know Your Location*
The first cars movie had a huge impact on my life, and was not actually so bad. It was the first movie I ever saw, and it inspired me to become a car enthusiast.
it was my childhood :( i hate seeing people saying its garbage because its my favourite pixar movie
yes me too
i fucking loved cars 1
I 100% agree
I loved the first one, I was kinda ok with the second one, and I really liked the third one. It was my childhood and no one could ruin it for me! Never!
The Toy Story films, the Cars films, The Incredibles and more were quite revolutionary to me as a child, since when I hear of them, I feel a huge sense od nostalgia. This is why Pixar will forever be one of the (if not *the*) greatest animation companies of all time, and a very revolutionary one too.
Wall-E is my favorite Pixar movie, and there’s no denying it for me.
The effects, visuals, characters, concept, it’s all just beautiful to me. Wall-E and Eve are honestly adorable even if they are only robots. Who else agrees with me? I hope my opinion isn’t alone. ;w;
This is the only positive comment I’ve seen. And I agree, wall-e is my favourite movie hands down
1000% agree
I agree
We need a sequel to wall e
Wholeheartedly agree with this

It is a three out of ten for the first 1 out of ten for cars 2 and I didn't bother with cars 3

@@awesomeaustenkitty How the hell do you think cars 3 overweights cars 1
Ash lol I love cars
Lets not forget in the Toy Story franchise: Tom Hanks... one of the best friggin actors ever!!
Definitely
This is the one time I actually disagree with strider with cars. I was a fan of cars. Cars 2 was bad. Cars 3 was good. But that goes to show how different our taste are. And that’s great. Thank you for the new view on the films.

Development hell killed any good potential The Good Dinosaur could have had. There are some genuinely beautiful scenes hidden in there (the scene where Arlo and Spot use driftwood sticks to represent their families was a perfect way to give exposition without a single word of dialogue). But it really needed to be shelved if they were having too many problems.
I am curious to see what is going to happen to the supposed Toy Story 4 sequel, now that Lasseter's been in trouble with the recent Hollywood sexual assault scandal. I kind of hope it doesn't happen, cause it would ruin the perfect ending of the third movie.
I agree. I'm split on whether Toy Story 4 should happen as I really enjoyed the perfect ending to 3. And yeah, some of the quiet moments in the forest with Arlo and Spot were really pleasant
I have decent faith in Pixar that the 4th film will be pretty good. I mean, it's took them 9 years so it better be worth it. ;)

I personally have faith in Toy Story 4. It's Pixar. It's hard for them to mess up.
And even if it's bad, we would still get something out of it.

Didn’t they make a planes movie too?
toadthefungi64 shhh we don't talk about that one
I’ve Noticed that you can watch cars 1 and 3 skipping 2 and not Have any major issues, So I’m pretty sure they know that 2 was a mistake as well.
..... The planes spin-offs are kind of a secret guilty pleasure For me, Probably only because of me being a big aircraft Fan, So I enjoy the aviation references.
Cars 1 is good but people probably hate it because they hate automobile in real life
I just hope Incredibles 2 is good, I always get that feeling with sequels nowadays since they are overdone we’ll just have to see
a few years ago i wanted a sequel,now i honestly dont xD
Oh it will be my dude, Brad Bird stated that he will not make a sequel to The Incredibles unless the script for the sequel is better than the original
I couldn’t agree with you more
They put more money than usal for incredibals 2
LPFan Because it is now 14 years since the original's release and you tired of waiting? Or because Pixar wasted time with sequels for movies that, unlike The Incredibles, should not have sequels, like Monsters Inc., Finding Nemo and specially the Cars movies?

Cars 1 has the best movie intro, no doubt
I thought that monsters university’s depiction of college was pretty accurate 😂
Well it ignores all the money spending, hard work, time management, life lessons, and mistakes in real grown up life and college.
And it was BORING.
Helen Mirren's character was still pretty bad.
There's also no drugs, or sex, for obvious reasons.

I think you seem to misunderstand the Cars films. With the exception of Cars 2, they weren’t made just to sell merchandise and have just as much heart and passion put into them as any other Pixar film. Plus the 1st and 3rd films (Mostly the 1st) actually received positive reviews. So it’s not like they completely damaged Pixar’s reputation or anything. I respect your opinion tho.
I agree. The cars films were made to entertain, they were made with care and passion to make people happy, not to sell merchandise.
Yeah..no the first one and two were trash to me and cause the biggest trash stain to the beloved studio
I agree(through I kind of like Cars 2 despite the fact it's feel like a Mater Tall Tale or a Cars tv special)
cars is not good. You wouldn't think you would need to explain why but then people like you exist.
I loved all 3 Cars films! I think the main reason is cuz I grew up with parents who both love cars, and my dad used to work on them as a hobby as I was growing up, and he's very knowledgeable about the older ones and how they work, too, despite having a bad back nowadays that keeps him from working on them that much... My mom isn't as knowledgeable about them, but still highly enjoys talking about them, especially cute, sporty vehicles... 😊
Anyway, that's probably a huge factor as to why I love all the Cars films! Heck, I wouldn't mind if they made a Cars 4 someday... 😃 Say what you will about it, albeit respectfully, but that won't change my opinion on the franchise! 😉
I'm suprised he didn't include Wall-E as number 3 or 2 best

To Cars defense, its a stunning movie that shows great sportsmanship and character. It shows you that you are never to late to change. Even if it is one of Pixars weaker films, ratings from snooty critics can't stop it from it being a good movie. The 1st and 3rd maybe rip-offs of Doc Hollywood and Rocky 4 but to give a good example, what do you think Lion King was "based" off of other than Hamlet? And everybody loves Lion King even if it is a rip off! Cars 2 was at least more entertaining than Good Dinosaur and Brave. Pixar took it in the wrong direction but seeing yet again a another character out of place and understanding something that a *smart* car couldn't is quite an interesting plot. Cars 2 was more memorable than some of Pixars other horrible films and the Cars franchise is so good that Disney tried to spin it off with Planes. Cars 2 let Pixar experiment something to the beyond with the detail in the animation, however it was a bit lazier animation with the movements of the cars themselves. But overall I think Cars 1 and Cars 3 are the most fun Pixar movies and can be something that adults (except you) even will not dread watching it out of any other animated film out there. Its not the perfect trilogy like Httyd and Back to the Future. But I have seen far more worse trilogies from good companies like Paramount. Thanks for listening to my Ted Talk.
I disliked the video for phantomstrider hating cars, I even kinda thought the second movie was alright, then we had cars 3 which was a masterpiece to me
i really liked the cars trilogy. i never understood why people hated the cars franchise. cars 1 and 3 are probably as good as the toy story movies. and the 2nd one may not be perfect but its still a roller coster of a movie and its still really enjoyable. i guess people are either too nostalgic for other pixar films or just too quick to judge cars
@@trimovies1428 That is why I unsubbed to Phantom after watching this video

Home and Kung fu panda might be the winners in worst and best redpectively.
"Good Dinosaur" felt like a full-length student film, and probably would've been much more enjoyable if it was half the running time.
I would say cars 2 was probably another Mater's tall tales that wanted Mater to get more screen time than McQueen. I mean really. Cars 3 should be the sequel and have cars 2 as the lost episode of Mater's Tall Tales. How hard is that?
I think that cars 3 is actually good! It’s pretty emotional! Not crying emotional, but it’s good! Well, pretty ok.
It is better than that obsessive film Wreck-It Ralph
The emotional scenes are some of the most forced ones in this decade
Doc Hudson was my favorite character and I didn’t pay enough attention to Cars 2 to figure out he died between 1 and 2 so when I watched 3 I was like “Oh god I need a minute...”
But the good thing about Cars 3 was that watching it rekindled this interest in not only the franchise but also in classic cars that I had a long time ago.

Strider: Their just cars!
Me: Well in Toy Story, their just toys
The difference is what Toy Story put so much potiential in the ideas of being a toy like being rejected, the relationship with toys and humans and more. The story of Cars is less given of an idea of a car and just make it about racing.

I think both Cars and A Bugs Life are under-rated. I've never really understood anyones problems with either apart from Mater. I think A Bugs Life is a brilliant adaptation of Seven Samurai/Magnificent Seven and hits all of the main beats and themes very well. Also it helmed a masterfully effective villain most movie makers would envy.
I think Cars 2 could've worked with all the World Grand Prix and the Spy stuff, if it was focused on Lightning McQueen, and not Mater. If McQueen was the main character in Cars 2 (like he was in the first movie) and Mater was a supporting character, Cars 2 would've been a much better movie.
Ratatouille was my favorite as a kid and I still have a soft spot fot it! This might be a bit silly, but it made me fall in love with Paris and I got actually invested in the characters even if they were literal rats.
EMMIE I love Ratatouille! It's one of my favorites! 😊

Ratatouille is my fav too the everything about it looks amazing
Yep, Anton Ego's speech about criticism is EPIC.
why does people consider Brave a bad movie?
im just curious
plz stop repling, RIP notification
i don't know why i liked it
It was a good concept, and the characters were really interesting, and so were the visuals, but I feel like it wasn’t executed very well, especially for Disney princess standards, I thought the pacing was way too fast because i didn’t really have the time to take in the fact that she ran away and that her mom was in trouble and it didn’t really deliver the message as strongly as it could have, i don’t get me wrong, i definitely enjoyed it, but I just felt like it was mediocre compared to other movies
It wasnt bad, just a bit boring. People get everything out of context.
i loved it ! i din't know people hate it .
Montarou -chi I thought it was just okay. But it is in my bottom 3 Pixar movies.
Cars 2 was my favorite movie ever. Now before you come to my doorstep and slap me in the face, you got to remember that some people have their own opinion about something. For example some like peppa pig and some others don't but that doesn't mean that it's bad, it just means that people have their own likes and dislikes, it just shows other people the others side of the story, and you may not like cars 2, it doesn't mean that it's bad, it just means that how you see it.
When discussing monsters university (which is amazing and doesn’t deserve the “worst” list) he doesn’t once mention the Scare Games
True. That movie was great.

Agreed with cars 2
Personally I enjoy Monsters University, and this comes from a studying animator! The reason why is because I love the way they treated disabilities and being different without full on calling it out, and touched on something that I don't think enough movies do: show the protagonist not achieving their dream no matter how hard they try, but still shows that you can still do something great with the skills and abilities you were given.
Now with that said I can totally see how a lot of people couldn't jive with this, it is pretty mundane, but I kinda appreciate it in that sense. It makes normal cool XD

I thought that at least the first Cars was pretty good.
Ęÿūį Æßñ and I thought its sequel was great
Cars 3 was good
It's my favorite movie ever
Blue Gangsta I don't speak Russian
Zackary Carr I don't speak Russian either
Wall-E was one of my favorite movies growing up. I loved Wall-E so much, the robots had such amazing designs and personalities and the characters were just, amazing. To this day it’s one of my favorite movies of all time, and I love the strong environmental message throughout the movie, as well as other small messages scattered throughout it.
I love Luca and Turning Red, but Wall-E will always be a favorite of mine due to nostalgia and just how great of a movie it was. I like how it was a romance movie but not too in your face, the relationship made sense and there was more to the story than just a boy falling in love with a girl. It was just… just amazing. One of the best movies ever. Even Cinema Sins enjoyed it.
100/10 best movie ever
I love toy story, inside out, and coco and you love them too? Wow!
Cars was literally my childhood. I would come home from kindergarten every day and watch the entire movie while my mom cooked dinner.
I still remember drawing Cars characters on my mom's office paper while she was working in her office job.
@@poweroffriendship2.0 That is wonderful about you and your mom.
@@badaboo7044 Back when bringing your child to your office is legal. But nowadays? Not anymore.
Jd J You know, that might be why adult Pixar fans aren’t fond of that franchise. It’s intended for a much younger audience. Something like The Incredibles probably appeals to teens or older while Toy Story fans ‘grew up alongside the franchise,’ as it were. Brave and Coco, of course, fit Disney’s ‘family entertainment’ model by having pieces that appeal to children, teens and adults. Cars... Eh. It’s meant for much younger audiences, so we might as well just leave it be.
@@etcetera1995 Uh... That is what you think about Cars. Honestly I ask other older adults about Cars, and they really agree with me that Cars is fun to watch. I am just saying as a fact.
Ok cars 2 was pretty bad but the first one and third showed you a good connection to the characters and the thirds animation was one of the best I ever saw
Then toy story 4 comes along. Dang are the animation and visuals are great.
And it's also emotional
I agree
Yeah. The cars franchise was great.
Yeah...no I hate this cashgrabing franchise
Cars 123 are some of my favorite movies for some reason
Strider: Cars series is bad.
Me: *nooooOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!!*
Meh
Same cars is awesome
sam
The First And Third Film Was Pretty Good The Second Didn't Came To Pixar Standards
CARS IS THE BEST PIXAR MOVIE FRANCHISE EVER!!!
i really loved the original cars, but not because of the characters or the story. i liked it because of the music and the route 66 setting. i live like 3 blocks from a part of route 66 and when the movie came out, i realized the “welcome to radiator springs” mural is in my area, and so are some of the buildings. it truly is slowly being forgotten. that mural is completely covered by trees and very faded. most of the buildings are failing antique stores. i think the reason i like Cars isnt because of the story, its about the representation of the setting, and the desire to transform it to look like it did in its heyday like they achieved in the movie.
dont get me wrong though, they probably could’ve tweaked the thing a bit and the other two movies were completely pointless.
Hanabusa Aido here are the cars movies from worst to best in my opinion.
3.cars 2
2.cars 3 (or 1)
1.cars???
Keep in mind I love all three
I love all the Pixar Movies, including Cars 1 and 3 but I absolutely despise Cars 2 hands down the worst Pixar movie of all time.
Ignacio Prieto
How was Brave horrible?
Ever heard of Planes? That movie was worse than Cars.
I'm I the only one that Liked Cars 1 & Cars 3?
You're not alone man,
Your not alone
I like too. I liked Cars 2 too! 👍
Nah, I did too.
I have a soft spot for Monsters University because I watched it a lot right before I went to college about half a year ago. It lowkey made me less nervous about moving away. Also, although my favorite Pixar movie is Coco, A Bugs Life is a very close second for reasons I can’t really explain. It just really resonates with me.
No-one talks abt Bug's Life anymore and that kinda makes me sad :'( it had a great plot and characters even though the animation wasn't the best
@@yourlocalkid123 if I had to pick an early Pixar movie to get a remastered version with new animation, it would be a Bugs Life. It already looks so good even with its limited base
Same. If anything I really enjoyed OK and really hope they appear in the Monsters Inc series. I actually found them enjoyable and it does have a great message several people can relate to, not being able to achieve a dream due to certain limitations. Mike tried everything to convince Dean Heartscrabble he can be scary and be a great scarer, but the sad truth is he simply isn’t scary. He is forced to face the truth when he breaks into the human world and a little girl isn’t afraid of him. It’s such a heartbreaking scene that Mike is forced to accept he just isn’t scary and can’t achieve his dream of being a scarer. But he manages to accept a different dream of TRAINING a scarer, his new friend Sully. He manages to find fulfillment in his life and not be bitter or angry he can’t be what he originally wanted to be. I find it hilarious the end of the first movie even proves child laughter is a lot more effective of a power source than screams, so in the end it does work out in Mike’s favor.
But I actually liked Cars.. especially the first one. Nascar is one of my favorite sports and that's one reason I like it
Peter Quill {Star-Lord} my school watched all 3 of cars I like all of them phantom strider is a jerk for the cars franchise you agree
Ya me too
I also like Cars
I wish I also liked it, but I guess I just can’t. 😓
I really like the Cars films.

I can agree where cars 2 was pretty bad. But I really enjoyed cars 1 and 3. While they definitely weren't Pixar's finest work, they weren't bad movies. Cars 1, and 3 along with toy story are my favorite Pixar movies.
I like Cars 2 and 3 but not 1
My top 5
5 inside out
4 the Incredibles
3 wall e
2 coco
1 toy story 3
Cars 1 and 3 were great, don't care what anyone says. Cars 2, sure, terrible.
Cars 2 is awesome the only thing terrible about it is the unfair criticism
@KeybladeAwsome2178 it is better than that terrible garbage film Wreck-It Ralph.
I agree only 2 was bad I hate this CZcamsr
@@Webb_Studios ok
Cars 2 was a waste of time.
Cars is honestly amazing. It was just made for a certain audience
I like all the movies, even the 2nd one,but I can understand why it is bad. Also the 1st and 3rd films are pretty great.
Cars is literally my favorite disney movie
I grew up with the first cars.
@@marcorizo1387 same
Thank you!
So ik everyone in comments is talking ab this but I dont understand the cars hate. The second one is lousy and the 3rd one is forgettable but I find the first one has one of the most touching redemption stories in all the movies. So what if it sold toys the story was powerful! Dud anyone else NOT like finding Dory. I found it boring and forgettable.
whenever I see an ad for a new Pixar movie, I’m always super excited to see it. but when I saw the ad for the good dinasour in 2015, I did not care about it at all.
I’m not sure, but I feel like you may not care for Sony Animation
So?
I have my suspicions too. I suspect he wouldn't like the emoji movie very much either.
To be fair, they haven't been great in a while.
Sony's only department with a good track record atm is their Video Game department.
Open season 1 and cloudy with a chance of meatballs were made by Sony animation and they aren't that bad.
I will say I enjoyed monsters University only because I love movies that center around a contest with fun challenges and elimination. Nice idea, not executed properly
Top 3 best:
3. Coco
2. Wall-E or Ratatouille
1. Up or Toy Story 2
Honorable Mentions:
Bugs Life
Toy Story 4
Incredibles
Monsters Inc
Finding Nemo is probably my favorite. I wouldn't say the sequel belongs in the bottom anywhere, but I wouldn't call it an honorable mention
You’re REALLY pushing my buttons with cars. That movie is my childhood. Although cars 2 was pretty bad but I liked 1 and 3
i don't like how when he specifically states "cars 2" as the 1st worst, he then includes the whole trilogy as one of his first sentences on it. you have to pick one or the other.
I love cars as well he just needs to get the money to see a car's potential
The first cars was creative the second cars just ruined everything
Auzzen I did too, but don't let nostalgia block your memory
Auzzen Cars was my childhood too.
Cars 2 is worst but Cars 1 and 3 need more love.
Esdras Mendes I agree so much it hurts. It’s obvious I don’t belong here
It’s bizarre that all the movies he likes I have or has never seen them
And the movies he hates I love!
Esdras Mendes Cars 1 was pretty bad (even though it’s one of my guilty pleasures)
Cars 3 I thought was genuinely good
i agree with you esdras mendes the cars movies and skylanders but that`s beside the point they where my childhood so much nostalga when i see the first movie and when i saw the third even as a teenager i thought it was good
I actually watched Cars 3, and I personally thought it was alright.
Esdras Mendes Cars 1 is the worst but Cars 2 & 3 deserve more love
Oh what’s my favourite Pixar movie you ask? WELL IT JUST SO HAPPENS TO BE CARS! Thanks for nothing strider. 🤬🤬🤬.
I don’t hate the first Cars movie. I was 5 years old when Cars came out and I loved it. However watching Cars in adult eyes, it’s just does not live up when compared to other Pixar classics. Cars 2?? It is so Garbage. Cars 3 was kinda decent, but again not as effective as the toy story movies.
For the longest time I thought The Good Dinosaur was just Disney and not Pixar. Don't get me wrong, Disney has made some incredible cg movies on their own (Wreck it Ralph is one of my all time favorite movies) but they don't quite match up to the movies that they make with Pixar. So I was genuinely surprised when I learned The Good Dinosaur was by them. I didn't hate the movie but it just felt...average.
In my opinion I think The Good Dinosaur is in the middle it's not the worst it's not the best either it's just in the middle
This is my opinion of Up, Brave and Finding Dory.
Terell Ray eww thats #1 worst movie evet

WHERE IS WALL-E ON THIS LIST! ITS ONE OF THE BEST MOVIES EVER MADE!
Bendy And Undertale It’s not one of the best, it is the best
@@Jackrabbit7 Yes it is
I agree
@@emperorfridge8702 idk about the best but defiantly top 10 or 5
This is the hardest agreement I've ever made so far
I honestly LIKE Monsters University.
Yes that is true and correct
I'm not the only one here that liked at least the first cars movie. right?
It was OK. I didn't HATE it but basically everything in the "Cars Shouldn't Have Been About Cars" video was distractingly obvious to me.
Captain Giratina ur not alone
i like it too because the main character learn to slow down and enjoy the world while making friends instead of going fast and being an ego person
i love the whole franchise I love everything about Pixar i love a lot of things in this world
You're not the only one, I really enjoyed the the first Cars but I can't say the same about the sequels.
Howdy! Time for a quick side-project on Pixar :) Next up I was probably doing 'Worst Gumball Episodes' or 'Worst Netflix Animated Movies' but feel free to leave other suggestions :)
Hi strider!
