I really particularly like those lines! You expressed very well much of what I felt in that recent encounter with the injured feral cat. When you do quote a poet, "a splendid intrusion of the miraculous," I love that line too! I hope you get to see wolves again. I'm most struck by how this wolf moves. Just through the movement alone, something very unfamiliar and yet also very familiar catches my eye and takes me into some kind of dream world.
The first two quotes are mine, the third is actually a concept I read about in a Joseph Campbell book, and the third is by someone whose name I jotted down in a journal 40 years ago but have long forgotten and subsequently thrown away. I took the wolf video 3 years ago in Yellowstone but recently realized that AI advances in editing could make it look a whole lot better than when I first posted it. (Cameras have gotten outlandishly better now too, and I just bought a new Nikon.) Thanks for your comments.
