PK Chishala Tondolo tumfwe ifyo bakotwamba

- PK Chishala is the legendary 'Kalindula music' singer, he produced master pieces that are are still enjoyed today. Impumba Mukowa is one such master piece, it speaks against mistreating children that live with a family that are not their blood relations. The catch phrase is Tondolo tumfwe ifyo bakotwamba!
This guy was way ahead of his time in as far as social commentary is concerned. When he produced the song 'Ba Pastor' the then men of God went to KK and complained that the song was in 'bad taste' to the sacred men doing God's work, upon which KK had PK transferred from Kitwe to Sefula - Mongu (within the Ministry of Social Community in the same capacity). His transfer was intended to specifically separate him from his band - 'killing his favorite pastime - music'. It never worked, he continued to produce music for he was actually educated in Sefula - he was really at home. But today, some 30 years on, from whence the song was produced, it's more relevant than ever, with the rising number of swindlers that parade themselves as 'men of God'. Or is it 'men of gold'? or 'men of dog'? I feel bad he never received the recognition he deserved.
Oh shame
@@michaelmalumani7638 , thanks a lot for sharing this informative piece!!
Correct. Double correct
No no no...he has been recognised, the fact that we are listening to this legend now.
Still listening to ba pk
The man died when i was 12years old,but i still like him. I remember Evelyn Tembo back then reading the 19:00hrs news pa ZNBC ,saying PK Chishala is dead and i paid no attention. But today i like him more, his songs make extra ordinary sense. Continue resting in peace ✌️🕊️ beloved one. Radio ichengelo in Kitwe put up a tomb stone 🪨 for you a few years ago, which was nice.
So touching..atleast you got to live during his time I was born when he already passed and i wish i just came earlier to watch him perform

My late mother used to recite and explain the words in this song to us. When she passed on that's when I really grasped the true meaning of this song. The song tells my life story after mom's death. But anyway fast forward to 2020, here I am on my own and made it in life. Then I was a "umupumba mukowa" but now I am like "umwana wamu sungu". Many thanks to God.
