I’ve just got my Brother 1034D today, but ordered it three days ago and have been watching the different youtube videos on it. I have to say Burley Sew is by far my favorite instructor. Not a lot of excess chit chat insignificant things like what they ate recently or why they chose a certain color fabric. I appreciate that. Gets to the good stuff without static.

My husband purchased this exact same machine a year or so ago for a project he had. After only a few uses it got put by the wayside. After we moved to our new house, I set up a sewing room with my sewing machines and I decided to get the serger out. I very quickly found that I love it, but I also have no knowledge about how to thread it, change the needles, or perform any of the maintenance on it. The other day I broke both needles and I was able to locate a tool in my Super-Special Girly Toolbag to unscrew the area where the needles go in. But I still didn’t know how to thread it. I came across your tutorial and I must say it was incredibly easy to follow. I threaded the machine the first time incorrectly! Yay!
