The other day I beat a pro troldier as a person who sucks at rocket jumping. He was laughing cause he got beat by a person using the rocket jumper with gunboats which don't do anything. He thought it was dumb in a funny way though. After he taught me a few jump types and a bit of b-hopping

All that aside I don't even mind if I get market gardened by a Soldier with the rocket jumper, that actually takes a respectable amount of skill, as opposed to the average Soldier main that thinks they're good because they can spam crit rockets whenever they please
Most trolldier players only want to have fun themselves, but won't let others. So as soon as you counter them they turn into big babies.
I got kicked for playing trolldier with the reserve shooter.

and it's really a shame, when i first started market gardening i thought of it as a challenge to see how well i could play with one of the most highest risk/reward weapon sets. if i got killed i had to find a way to play better, p simple.
it's still a game about trying to kill other players. trolldiers make the choice of choosing rocket jumper as their loadout so they should git gud with it not complain someones beating them when using a gimped loadout. otherwise its no longer a challenge but instead asking to be babysitted

you air strafe by letting go of w, using a and d and mouse look to go a specific direction in the air, the rocket jumper weapon he is using has no self damage so you can fly around basically indefinitely

I think the problem is that people see CZcamsrs playing with meme loadouts like Trolldier, Caber-Gardening Demo, or Battle Medic and assume that they will be able to use the same "funny" loadout and get a K/D ratio > 1 right from the offset, and then rage when they don't. Which completely defeats the point of a meme loadout: it's not meant to get lots of kills, it's meant to occasionally get really ridiculous kills that will leave the opposing player wondering "How the heck did I get killed by THAT?"
7:12 It often takes so long because the majority of the player base has NO idea how to spectate others. If possible, I think you should mess around with a command in the console "extend_freeze"
Afterwards, make a video on it so you can help spread the word on how to spectate and check for cheaters!

The fact that the enemy trolldier didn’t pack a shotgun at any point or try to use a different rocket launcher for mobility just shows how deadset/prideful and stubborn some people are in tf2. I know trolldiers are supposed to duel with shovels but I would have said fuck honor at that point and try to use other strategies :_)

So to your question, why would anyone mge as trolldier: It's fucking fun. I've played it with few of my friends and we both suck at them so it is so much fun to just jump around like a bunch of idiots. Also it's fun to just randomly equip shotgun and be like: Surprise shotgun! I strongly recommend you to find someone chill and just spend a few minutes of mge trolldier. It nicely cleans your head

Furthest they got in terraria was getting the 'still hungry' achievement, and since they didn't get the 'its hard' achievement, they got carried in a world that was already in hard mode
you should do a challenge where you play as trollider on a map with a high skybox and do a triple sync -> market garden

I remember one time I got salty because, after seeing a sniper on the enemy team, I went sniper, thinking I could have some fun sniper v sniper action. But as soon as he saw me, he would literally run away and hope I'd forget about him. When I called him out he said "that's just how you play sniper".
I told him no, you're supposed to kill the other sniper. I was disappointed I didn't get to have any enemy snipers to fight. But I'm not about to sit there and trash talk all game and demand he plays like I want him to. And on top of that to demand that all other players leave me alone so I can have my "duel" in peace.

After 2.7K hours in tf2, I've learned that the people who are usually toxic aren't the people who are playing usual stereotypical try hard classes (pyro, scout, sniper, demo, etc.)
It's usually the people playing meme loadouts who complain every time they die to their counters. (Trolldiers, demopans / knights, fish scouts) and even things like "friendlies" who scream in chat and rage when they die to someone who's just playing the game.

You need a “rocket jumper” to not get damage while jumping
