I have never seen Gerri saying “yeah, but you’re not your dad” as her way of complimenting Roman, at least in the context of their argument. I know many Romangerris do and I try to see that but it never grabs me that way. To me, she was so pissed that in that moment she was just brutally honest with him, probably had that mili-second of knowing this would be a punch in the gut to him but said it anyway in the heat of the exchange. I mean, yes to the viewer we know it’s a good thing he’s not his dad but in their world of business it just seems a blow decidedly aimed at his ego. He deserved it ,of course. The way he fumbled was one for the ages.

I love how the final scene of Roman was explained by the writers. To Shiv and Kendal the 4 seasons showed how they gave everything to Waystar and hoping to 'win the game' and get to the top. To Roman this final scene shows it was just a fun game that has inevitably affected him emotionally but he never cared that much about the corporate politics. The way he sips on the drink shows he'll probably just move on to some next adventure.

En principio del fin de la relación Román Jerry. A partir de acá él se encarga de destruir la única relación genuina que tiene, la única mujer que apuesta a él. Termina despidiendola el cuando Logan ya está muerto. Román es muy autodestructivo. El fin de esta relación lo rompe al medio .
