- If you listen to tonight's guest, J.T., tell you about what happened to him, late one night, in 1981, you'll understand why his encounter has been so hard for him to deal with. Even though his encounter happened 35 years ago, he still has a hard time talking about what happened to him. It's no surprise he does have so much trouble talking about it. It was a really bad encounter!
I'm more of a lurker and rarely comment. That being said I just had to comment on this episode. The bravery of this gentleman telling his story is amazing. I've read and listened to probably hundreds of cryptid stories, and this is the only one that had me tear up. You could feel the fear in his voice telling his story. I sincerely hope he is at ease in his mind and life now. Thank you to the host for being so compassionate and gentle! Subscribed!
Nobody could listen to this man and not believe that these monsters are real. Really frightening story, one of my favorites.
This animal crept up on us one night at my Grams house. We used to sit on the side porch just near a dry wash at the edge of the woodline....that was the closest route that was still wooded at the time that would bring u closest to being in the town itself. I heard it approach, I thot "prob a deer", then I heard this thing growl...and I mean GROWL. It was so low and gutteral. I immediately when into fight or flight mode. I had been practicing my archery there earlier that day, so I grabbed my re-curve hunting bow just inside the screened door. I waited at the base of the stairs to hear this thing make a peep so I could get a bead on it in the darkness of the trees and I let my one hunting arrow go. I missed, but I heard this thing take off. I could feel the thumping on the ground as I darted. It took a straight shot down the block, thru one yard aftr the other, tripping motion lights and every family dog along its way. I sometimes wonder now if it was a dogman. Every one of those yards had a fairly high fence and this thing moved thru those yards very very quickly and the sound I heard def was not any deer. Crazy
This poor guy. Someone needs to start a support group for dogman victims. And they ARE victims, even if they're not physically harmed. These creatures are expert fear mongers. They're all about the intimidation, for the most part. I don't why they have to be so freakin' mean...they clearly have every advantage over us. They're the ultimate bullies! God bless JT and every person who has an encounter, whether they come forward or not. And God bless Vic for giving them a safe place to vent.
This man really saw something that disturbed him. You can just hear the distress in his voice!
This is hands-down one of the most chilling interviews on this channel. The trauma and sincerity in his voice as he relives his encounter had me gripped to the edge of my seat. My heart was pounding...this was absolutely terrifying. I was on the fence about the existence of these things, but now I’m heavily leaning on believing it.
This story sticks with you too. Now that I believe these things exist I m not a happy camper!

This poor man, you can hear how his voice went from "normal" to wavering, he actually relived this story when he shared it with you/us. This is the only encounter where I truly teared up. This man was truly frightened and saw something evil. How can you not believe this mans story.
This is one of the best told, most genuine encounters I've ever heard on any topic. His choice of words and memorable images scream truth. It's just nearly impossible to fake. One of my favorites.

rainbo5250 I 100% Agree. Read missing 411 hunters and you will have no doubt that these creatures (and Bigfoot probably) are killing people in our parks and forests. Best part is the DNR and the park service supposedly keep no records of the missing people in these accounts. I used to be a Dogman skeptic and I had a hard enough time believing in Bigfoot and if it hadn't been for my fathers encounter I'd still be a skeptic.

Its actually more likely than not, that the majority of those "unheard stories",...we have not heard,..are the ones that we never WILL hear. Because those who would have those stories, were NOT as fortunate, as the man in the car.
He certainly did sound as if it truly WAS the most frightened he'd ever been. Just the mere memory of it,..brought him to, "what sounded like", tears.
And,.,as terrifying as it WAS,.."that", was what should be considered, a"happy" ending. As the very many,,,missing persons, discovered FAR too late,..an encounter with one "or more" of these creatures,..can be so very,..VERY,.,much worse..
This poor guy, I really feel for him. Im very happy for his sake he didnt get followed or found at his home! What a horrifying encounter!!
So intense, i could visualise the encounter and imagine the dogman's movements trough J.T's words. Cannot imagine the fear level, how can anybody listen to this encounter, and not feel that it's real.

This has got to be the worst and scariest encounter with the dogman of all the previous ones. That poor man! Just goes to show us how evil and plain MEAN the dogman is. I really feel for him. Thank the gods we all have our good man Vic to help folks feel better. Vic is so kind and loving.

wow I have listened to every episode and this is the scariest one yet. I could feel that poor man's fear.
Ive listened to over 100 of these episodes and this is one of the best! He tells it so well as if it happened to him yesterday. And even tho it was decades ago u can still hear the fear in his voice as he holds back tears. This makes his encounter that much more believable! I am so sorry that he had to experience such a traumatizing event but im glad he came forward to tell it. His story will hopefully help others.

Vic, this has got to be the 2nd show, Kat Hensen being the 1st, that has scared the @$#! out of to me. Being from the Appalachian Mountain area myself, spending countless hours in these woods and now this story from J.T., OMGODDDDDD!!!! It took me months to even slightly feel comfortable around my home after Kats show, but JT's story just sealed the deal for me. I've never witnessed anything face to face, but I've had numerous occasions where I've been outside working in the yard, driving these back roads, and even camping that something just wasn't right. I could hear the fear in JT's voice to know he was telling the truth. My heartrate is just now slowly coming back down from his encounter. it took alot of courage for him to tell his story and I'm so thankful that he had you for that support. Vic you're giving people their lives back by doing what you do..plz never stop! and JT thank you for such a heart felt story, I can only imagine what it had to be like and my heart breaks of the thought of you going thru this then-->now, Just know you had a hugh impact on me and my future awareness of "OUR" area. This is the second encounter I listened to about these nightmares and there was and is no doubt in my mind this man is speaking the truth. My heart went out to this brave man and it scared me so bad I abandoned all interest in this and other cryptid topics i was into. I didn't want to believe they were real, but I couldn't deny this man's authentucity. So I got interested in politics to take my mind off of it. Just as terrifying. Now that I've learned all about what's REALLY going on in our world and how dysfunctional most governments behave, I have solid belief there is a massive cover up about this and so much more that if the American people knew all, there would be an almost instant second civil war. There is much I've researched that dovetails with these encounters, and after returning to this channel I've learned so much more. I used to be afraid of Sasquatch but after listening to more about Dogmen (here and other sources, Vic is best tho) I'm more fearful of these abominations. I hope that I never encounter one of them, tho looking back years ago I just may have. If I ever meet one, I hope and pray I can keep my senses about me to return to safety. Never surrender your firearms people. Never.
Incredible episode! Moving testimony! If anyone has any doubts at all about these creatures being real, have them listen to this gentleman's testimony. There are only a very few accounts of these creatures that are as believable and profound as this one! Wow, I can feel the pain and fear in JT's voice when he's recounting his terrifying ordeal. My heart goes out to the guy. I just can't imagine having to live through the encounters on some of these episodes, and how it would affect me mentally. I wonder just how many more people out there have had encounters, but nobody else knows about it. My fascination with dogman just keeps growing and growing.
I feel so sorry for this man. I'm glad he's speaking about it now.
Just rambling here...I've never seen anything, and never heard of anything. I live out in the country. But, there are times, I'm very comfortable outside in the dark, going to and from the chicken house, and then there are times I run in the house and lock all the doors and windows...I wonder now if I'm paranoid, or maybe I sense something.

And I know right now that it was the truth and if you can't decipher when a man is telling a true story and shaking to the very balls of his soul, trying to cope with something of this magnitude. Then they cannot relate to humankind. I can't believe that there were 12 thumbs down 👎 on this Vic. Smh. I'm grateful that there are a few people with the intelligence out there to be a solace in the storm for people like this, and for your show and others. Someone going through PTSD no matter the subject, is someone definitely needing help and I truly think you have provided that to him.

Hang in there JT, that is truly a horrifying encounter. Just a suggestion to maybe help your recovery, tell your family. I bet they will believe you whole heartedly. You should not carry that burden alone.

I watched 6 wolves chasing what i thought was 2 big deer across in front of my headlights when i pulled up i swung towards field and there stood 2 huge wolves at least double the size of the other , now this is big Canadian wolves not coyotes and these 2 dwarfed them , when my headlights hit them they just stared at me and after about 30 seconds they were on there way , since then every time i went deer hunting i would think of these huge buggers , have not seen them since

Very intelligent concise truthful event from a L/E or possible judicial officer. No pause between sentences thinking of what to think up. His story I would bet the farm on is 100℅ recollection consistent with what happened. You can feel his great voice pitch change during the actual experience. I have interviewed many people in person and on the phone and am in a similar field with a sighting. Vic being partial (lol) he has one of the most descriptive best encounter recollections to date. I remember cherry bomb mufflers. I bet it pissed off that DM real good. Wish he didn't see it's face. I never saw the eyes thank God in Heaven. Bless you brother you are a class act.
This encounter gave me NIGHTMARES for 2 days in a row...
I've thought about this encounter a lot, actually. I can hear pure and utter terror in J.T.'s voice as he's reliving the events and there's no way he's not being truthful. That was as genuine as you could possibly get.
All I can say is that I feel so terrible that he never felt like he could tell anyone. That he was touched by this kind of evil so early in life. But there are thousands of people who have heard his story now and I can't speak for everyone, but I believe him. I may have never had an encounter myself (and definitely do NOT want to) but there's no doubt in my mind that these creatures exist.
I just hope J.T. now knows that he is not alone!

You cannot listen to this man and not believe his encounter! You can hear the fear and absolute terror in his voice and actually visualize the Dogman's movements and features as he is running alongside his vehicle. His voice trembles and breaks as he details his encounter, how horrific to even listen to...I couldn't even imagine living it! This is in my opinion 1 of the best Dogman Encounters Radio episode. You can definitely hear the emotion from JT as he tells his experience. However just to lighten the mood This is what happens when you drive a Dodge. He should have got the Chevy Nova first anyway.

Poor J.T., if anyone has PTSD, it's him! I hope he sits his family down and tells them about it. I have never heard a guest on Dogman Encounters that seems more traumatized than J. The. He seemed like a huge weight had been lifted off him after he shared his encounter. The program really is therapeutic for these people.
I have a encounter story I would like to share about Menehune's. which are small elf like beings. In 1986 I was 6 years old and I lived in Oahu Hawaii with my grandfather. around 9pm 1 evening while playing in the bedroom with my siblings we heard some noise coming from out side the Window, we looked to see a small face pressed up against the screen laughing or giggling a creepy, sinister laugh!!! my sister screamed and we all ran out

This is truly a terrifying encounter. Thirty five years later and JT still has such emotion and had a hard time getting it all told. My heart goes out to him. One thing about it, it was not his day to die. God definitely had other plans for him because that dogman or werewolf for some reason changed its mind. That door would not have stopped him if he'd put JT on the menu that night. I do hope that TJ gets some peace. I really believe tht he needs to sit his family down together and tell them about his experience. It may answer questions his kids have had about his paranoia about their safety and other things they may have noticed and been troubled about. I truly think until he does that, he is not going to find total peace.
You hear people break down while telling these stories of their encounters but this poor guy was completely petrified. Hopefully he's doing well in his life now..

This was a scary one for sure. I could just picture it at the window of that car, it must have been terrifying being alone on that dark road. Honestly, this is the incidents that have made me hesitate venturing into the woods for camping, or hiking. I live in a subdivision, and I always bring a gun when I walk the dog at night. I live in the wooded hills of TN too and have now had both Dogman and Bigfoot / Booger Encounters and more than one now! This lake home is in the boonies, a lot of woods, cemeteries, old Indian areas, few homes, a lot of livestock and crop farms, no cell nor trash service, and no street lights! This place is beautiful in the day, but at night its like the atmosphere changes. NEVER in my life have I dealt with these Cryptids, only spirits until now and grew up on a farm part time and played in the woods daily, the woods are different somehow from just 20 yrs. ago. I feel for this gentleman, you never get over something like this, even if it happened long ago it will feel like yesterday, you'll never forget it, and thank him a lot for having the courage to share his story.

These things are obviously supernatural. I live in East TN as well near Knoxville. My uncle saw something in the mountains yrs ago...exactly like GT described he's right, there are forests everywhere...around the 1960s. He's passed away now
I lived in by the lake in my teens...me and my little sister would go outside...there were no houses within 4 or 5 miles. During the day, it was fine...we would play and go into the woods and play no biggie. At night was something different. I refused to look out the window at night. There was a sinister feeling. My mother felt the same way. We never seen anything because we refused to look out or go outside at night. There were never pets or anything chirping at night...and it being near the lake? Everything at night was silent. There was a dog that roamed the area but we only saw him during the day. We finally moved after around 7 yrs? We couldn't take it anymore. Everything was great during the day. But at dark...sinister and horrible. I'd sleep with my blinds closed n head covered.

His story is so intense, you can almost visualize it happening. You could tell that as he told his story, he was reliving it.
To me, this is probably the most believable story on this channel. You can hear the absolute terror in this man's voice during his description of what happened. Lots of good stories here, but this one gets my vote for the best.

Wow!! I can't even imagine such an horrific ordeal. I would encourage him to have a family meeting with the adults, and share his story, or have them listen to this youtube video. I think it will bring them much understanding as to why he went through such a hard time, and what was behind some of his behaviors. I believe God protected him on that terrible night in 1981. He has much to be thankful for. Though I don't know him, I am grateful he survived, and has shared his story.
Is it just me or did that thing show enough intelligence to catch him as he was going around that curve because it knew he'd be slowing down?
I've listened to just about every episode of Dogman Encounters, Bigfoot Eyewitness and many other podcasts on the subject matter and this is the first account that literally gave me chills! Keep up the good work and thank you for approaching these topics in a humble manner. It's all too easy to get gimmicky.

I know....wow. how creepy was that. However, having a dogman run beside your car while sticking his head in your window and trying to open the car door to get in is just as bad. I wonder what it had planned if it would have opened the door? It could have grabbed him while he was driving and pulled j.t. out of the car so why open the door?
Thinking back, my grandmother had some very similar behaviors this guy had that makes me wonder if she had an encounter at some point. She did not like venturing out at night but blamed it on her eyes. She never liked leaving her house. She was always paranoid someone - or something - was going to get in her house while she was there alone so she always had it locked up. Even the door going into her garage from her house when the big metal exterior one was shut and locked. Why so many precautions when Claremore, OK never has any crime? N.E. Oklahoma has the perfect environment for these creatures. Very dense woods, plenty of deer etc.

This is the fourth encounter I've listened to where a dogman starts running towards a car when the driver gets near a sharp or difficult curve in the road; catches up and runs alongside it, parallel to the car. I believe that this is no co-incidence. It puts the driver in a very compromised driving situation. Slowing down is necessary not to spin out, and one man's truck lost all control and turned over several times, totalling the vehicle in a Cali desert.
