I think he knew about the backlash. It was reported in the U.S. that he was upset by it because, in his words, it took the “shine” off the award. (Not much sympathy for him about that). I heard he had a panic attack before the show because of the perceived backlash; allegedly, he had to be reassured that any booing would be drowned out by an applause track. I do believe they played the applause tape. It sounded pretty audible.
And I think he demanded those Wounded Warriors keep standing on the stage with him so he wouldn’t be booed, giving no thought to the physical pain that could cause for an amputee. In my opinion, always self first with him.

I think everyone involved in the decision to give Harry the Pat Tillman award is regretting it. People are looking into the Pat Tillman Foundation and their questionable business practices, they’re looking into Jake Woods Team Rubicon and Groundswell, which are also somewhat questionable. ESPN didn’t get the ratings boost they obviously were counting on. I can’t imagine anyone of those involved are happy about it and Harry was humiliated. Epic FAIL.

We started the graduation late because Secret Service closed all the surrounding buildings that in any area that could be accessible to where the president was going to be. Nobody was able to get into the building until Secret Service cleared it. Once the graduation started, you could see all the snipers at every single corner watching and protecting the president.there is no way you could tell me that Secret Service was there at Trump’s rally and they could not protect that roof. They do not operate like that. They left that Roof, unprotected on purpose.

I’m from the US. I have family and friends in CA and two acquaintances there that have connections with ESPN. What a lot of people may not know is that at the ESPYs every year an award called the Jimmy V foundation award is given in the name of a very beloved basketball coach who died fairly young of cancer.
Right after H and M left the next award was that award. They knew a very deserving award about work and greatness being done with and for cancer patients was the next award. They wanted out of there before that took place bc of how awkward it was going to be sitting there knowing his father and sister in law has cancer and are going through this yet … look how both H and M have treated them.
The cowardly, self serving, hypocrites wanted out of there before this happened.
They could have left during some breaks, intermissions, etc…. Definitely at a better time but they feared the booing would be excessive and if they left during someone speaking or something being played that no one would yell or boo at them…. Not caring at all that they would interfere with what was going on at that time on the stage. Of course their need to not get booed and to get out of there so they don’t feel bad is so much greater than interrupting the program.
By the way ….. the lady coach who received the Jimmy B award was amazing and put everything about H and what he had said to shame. If you can try to find that and listen to it.

She will make a wonderful queen. William and George imitating each other at the euros. A truly devoted family not forgetting young Louis pictured with his sister watching the match wearing shirts with their ages on their backs. Beautiful. Looking forward to seeing more of the family after their summer break.

However, on an opposite roof, there was a Secret Service presence with a clear, unobstructed view of the uncovered roof to which the shooter easily gained access ?! I’m no security expert, but it seems that first, how stupid! What security unit worth its salt would leave uncovered such perfect place to take a shot at the podium?! Second, where were the drones? The event was outside….a few drones would have easily surveyed the entire area and all its structures . Third, the Secret Service snipers who actually were present seemed to be precisely placed to perform a very specific task….to take out the “lone gunman” ….. Wow! When the members of the public told a security officer about the shooter climbing the building with a rifle, wasn’t President Trump removed immediately from the podium to a place of safety while armed police investigated ? Only today King Charles and Camilla were immediately taken to safety when a possible terror threat was called whilst meeting crowds….it turned out to be a false alarm, but this is standard procedure while the threat is addressed.
