IMHO, I think it is unrealistic for Macy to expect so much out of you in such a short time. You should just make sure it's safe, clean, and livable. All that demolition to that house is unnecessary and cost ineffective, considering the circumstances. Good luck brother!

I’m a drywaller in Michigan and it’s crazy how all the houses we as a country build are always the same thing over and over wherever you go. Little differences here and there but overall it’s the same style over and over.

Another option you can do is just have the house “move in ready” where the house is pretty much liveable and while you live there they can just work on the less important stuff that they didn’t get to finish yet.

We ran in to the same situation, but what we did is just bought a 43ft 5ft wheel camper, it’s nice but it can get cold sometimes just have a heater in there but it’s not to bad

If you were going to only live in the Jelly man house for a couple of months, until you new house was completed, why not just just refurnish the rooms you need for that time? Say 2 bedrooms,1 bathroom, the kitchen, and a living room? Put up temporary walls/doors on the un-renovated portions of the house, and use those rooms to store your stuff until it could be moved into the new house.
By demolishing everything, you are making much more work do get done in a very short period of time. Also, when you get rushed, prices tend to rise because you have to pay the going prices instead of shopping around.
Also, permits might delay things on the jelly man house, something else that cuts into you available time/funding.
Just my opinion!

9000 sq. ft. Unbelievable. That's like 5 regular homes. I hoped to have a big beautiful home for my family by this point in life. Getting injured and disabled by working myself so hard made it so it's hard to afford living in this cardboard box. I don't get one red cent from disability because of a crooked, lying judge of the social insecurity system. I'll keep fighting but I think I'll be dead and still not be successful. In the mean time I try to exist on the charity of others and selling off everything I own.

Renovating the jelly man house will be fun to watch. It really doesnt look that bad, especially for about 1 month of living in it. But I know Macy would veto that in a second. Work on the kitchen and bathroom first. If you have to, you could stay in the bedrooms as is, but a good kitchen and bathroom is a necessity.
Move all your stuff into pods. Then live at the ranch until your house is ready. You already renovated it and it's awsome.

I just read that great at my house and had to realize that all the little specialty details of stone and all these little edges and notes to Manny's get filled up with dust and someone's impossible to clean it so after a while your allergies are bad and a Gun Room shouldn't be dirty. I decorated with clean lines
Cabinets doors painting wood. Could've taken the face and sanding and routered them. Made them look brand new. Even paint. The cabinets themselves not worth the value. The mantel. I wish I could have it sent to Florida. Looks perfect width for what I want in my "shack" 1100 sq" house that some one called me size house
Make that safe door swing into the vault! If you ever have to use that room for a storm shelter and something falls in front of that door you are trapped. If it swings in you can still get out after the storm.
Vault doors swing outward so that you can’t force the jam.
Flair you gotta get a contour mount for your shotguns! They would make EPIC shots for duck and dove hunting! I use to use em in airsoft! Goes on the barrel like a flashlight!

Renovating the jelly man house is the right choice over renting a house because you're going to renovate it anyway, which is cool, then you'll have a decent place for maybe an employee/s to live, or a place to rent out or whatever you want to do with it.
