  • Big Ambitions continues and, due to popular demand from you lovely people in the comments, Bernard takes a little trip to the gym!
Oddly enough it's the only gym in the whole of New York City, which seems unlikely, but whatever the case Bernard goes there and, after changing into some boring clothes, he does some exercisey stuff.
He hits a thing. He does sit ups on a thing. He runs on a thing. He lifts a heavy thing. Yay for exercise.
Away from the scintillating gym trip Bernard also adds many desks to Big B's Billboards and hires quite a lot of people so we have early and late shifts, with the hope being to turn the fortunes of the business around a little.
Also there's an amazing furniture addition to Big B's Billboards, we see some bumper profits and there's a bit of an unexpected and impromptu purchase...
NOTE: This is the early access version of the game.

Your bank balance is tiny, but your ambitions are big.
With a little help from your uncle, you get an apartment and your first job. But then it's up to you to achieve success and take over New York City any way you like.
Slowly build multiple small businesses, grow them into huge corporations, or carve your own unique path - the possibilities are limitless in this vast business sandbox. You've never played anything like this!
Go from a small apartment and public transport to luxury suites, fast cars and designer furniture. Put your money into investment funds and real estate. Succeed, fail, rebuild. But remember to take care of yourself, sleep and stay happy on your rise to the top.
Go from nothing to the most prominent tycoon in New York. Start a business, work smart, make it thrive and enjoy your life. How do you want to be successful? How far can you push it? How long can you make it last?
Start your own gift shop, supermarket, coffee shop, law firm, clothing store, liquor store, florist, and more. You decide what success is - whether it’s a single shop, a chain of fast-food restaurants, a huge corporation, or making millions developing websites.
Take out a loan, rent a building, design the logo, renovate the store, get stock, manage your money, hire staff, and build your infrastructure. Soon, you may have to start importing products from the harbour and distributing them through a network of warehouses.
A bigger business means managers. Hire HR Managers, Logistics Managers, and Purchasing Agents. They all need desks and computers, so you’ll need a fancy headquarters.
Need a delivery truck? Travel to a dealer and buy one. Need food? Go to a supermarket, but make sure you have a refrigerator at home. Big Ambitions is a life sim where your character has to physically interact with the world to survive and succeed.
Enter any building in New York and buy it. Go from a small apartment to a dream penthouse in midtown, a luxurious townhouse in Hell’s Kitchen, or a series of skyscrapers. Fill each with furniture that suits your style and standing. Invest your hard-earned cash in real estate to grow your empire. Take over the city piece by piece.
Spend your wealth however you wish. Buy a big SUV, a speedy sports car, or the new luxurious Mersaidi S500. Maybe risk it all at the casinos or put your money into investment funds and reap the rewards.
As you progress, you always need to ensure you get enough sleep and stay healthy and happy. Enjoy the journey, for as you grow older, you’ll discover that money can’t buy you time... or can it?

Bernard's nightclub should be called Big B's Boogie Barn. I can't wait for it! 😆

You can probably afford to move into the most luxurious home in the game now.

It's exactly what you said it can't be. The boat takes you to international waters because gambling is illegal in NY.

Oh! I never knew gambling was illegal in New York, I have learned a new thing today!

@@TheGeekCupboard it was a Mafia deterring law, when they tried to pivot to gambling post bootlegging (when prohibition was repealed). And gambling is legal in parts of the US, so the boat just needs to get you off New York land. See also: riverboat casinos on the Mississippi River.

Yes Penge I do watch your videos for some red hot administrative action 😂
Also I kind of guess correctly with the dancefloor. My 3 guesses were 1.A fridge 2.dancefloor 3. A neon sign. I was shouting them at the video 😂.
Dont forget to change the uniforms in the jewel store. (Need Bernard blinging, very dull at the moment)

For your lawyers, just set your hours from 8am to 6pm (8 - 18) Monday to Friday. Then hire full time lawyers and get them to work 10 hour days.
The point of the Rivals is you can eventually drive them out of business. It takes a lot of time and a lot of money since you usually have to buy up their businesses. Generally, you open up businesses in the same district as theirs that sells the same things but undercut them in price, and make their businesses unprofitable. Once that happens, they'll be willing to sell their business at more reasonable prices, or they might even just close them. You can also hire their best employees to make their businesses worse. In the meantime, the Rivals will try to make your life harder by undercutting your prices, not letting you rent their buildings and trying to hire away some of your employees. Sometimes they'll get really aggressive and try to hire away all the employees from a store.

For the most part you don't need to worry too much about the rivals.
But soon you should expect him to starty lowering the prices, forcing you to lower yours or lose customers.
Later on they will start opening the same type of businesses you have to flood the market and again forcing the prices down and take your customers.
At this point your achilles heel is having all your businesses in the same district, wich means when the local rival start retaliating he's gonna impact your whole operation.

Each of the display cases in the jewlery store is enough to cover the capacity of the store, so you could change one of them to hold expencive jewlery.
Also, the price could probably stay around 180, you didn't give the first price change enough time to settle

  • @DonGorgen
    @DonGorgen Před 29 dny

Easier to look in the rival tab to find businesses to take over, there it will also tell you how much they make per week.
For now you won't be able to afford any high paying business. Instead look at those losing money, you can easilly turn it around to make profit and you can usually get them very cheap.

@@TheGeekCupboard You have enough to buy a couple of boxes of expencive jewlery, if I remember correct it was around $55K for a box of 50. (Been a while since I've had to look at prices before buying anything lol)

  • @DonGorgen

You're overcomplicating the scheduling. The part time workers could have worked 3 hrs a day for 7 days and you wouldn't have to fiddle around so much.
The 1 guy who didn't want evening shifts could work in the morning and just put someone from morning on the evening.
Either way, weekends are no good for offive work, you'll have some customers but not enough to be worth anything.
