Philip is amazing. Surely, living and acting next to Thom Yorke and Johnny Greenwood strongly reminds me of George Harrison being in the same band with Lennon and McCartney - creative process is doomed. However, Philip keeps releasing albums full of phenomenally beautiful music with enviable consistency. Genius! Genius, who deserves much bigger media exposure.
I haven't finished the song yet and it already sounds more interesting than any of Phil's songs I've heard before. I'm really looking forward to this album now!
Beautiful music, message in the song, and beautiful voice. Dear Phil, as a Radiohead fans, I always support you Thom, Ed, Jonny, Colin everythings you guys do I am listening to and always support. Listening and share its on internet and if i have a chance to visit UK or US I will buy ticket to see you live performance. 🥰💖
That opening piano figure is really beautiful. John Williams used it for Anakin & Padme's Theme from Attack of the Clones, but I can't remember the classical piece that it is originally based on? I also really like where this piece goes lyrically. Can't wait to hear the album!
This is awesome, so many Radiohead influences but really stands alone, the off kilter beat and other arrangements, pauses in voice, it's comfortably uncomfortable, but soothing at the same time.
I adore his work for Radiohead- a hugely underrated player. This is the first solo thing I've heard from him. Gotta say, it's pretty pedestrian (inevitably comparing it to his band-mates, but even so...). Lyrics, vocal performance, general 'blue' vibe are neither really compelling nor convincing. Radio 2 stuff, imo.
Pretty good. The chorus is a bit of a clunker- and I didn't like the punch for it. The lyrics for the body of the song though are pretty good. I'll give the album a whirl when it drops. I wasn't expecting Thom vocal range but it's a bit subdued for singing. We'll see. Oh, and the orchestral make it seem deeper than it is. It woulda been better to pair it down and made it more stark. A little white noise static woulda been nice and more fitting and maybe some echo fade at the end of the the main body endings.
There is just too much talent in Radiohead. All those guys are geniuses in their own way.
This track, the entire album, is magnificent, a masterpiece.

Ed O'Brien is no slacker either.
Really liking this! Can't wait to hear the full album.
This is a beautiful beautiful song I absolutely love it! Oh Phillip please keep writing this is what I've been waiting for since I lost Radiohead.
Radiohead hasn't really gone anywhere. Members are all just doing their own thing for now.
Phil is a genius in his own right. There would be no "Radiohead sound" without his perfect, driving rhythms.
Beautiful music, Philip! Bless you and keep playing, singing, writing, collaborating! Blessings.
LOve me some Phil! Bravo!
Beautiful song!!!
Wow stunning & amazing
Thank you so much for this beautiful song, Phil. Just what I need to hear at this moment of loneliness and desperation.
So thrilled to have seen the Cromwell place performance 🎉
Phillip is so awesome!
Great!!!!!
I have been waiting for another album! Been a fan of his solo work since Familial. Liking the new stuff already!
Hauntingly beautiful, can't wait for the album!
That was really nice. Interesting tune

incredible song. would've loved to hear Bowie cover it.
Best thing he's done, really great
Beautiful song 🎵 I miss Radiohead, hope you keep writing songs like this. Can't wait for able to buy it.!!!
You are so right, about all members of Radiohead being geniuses. They literally have saved my bacon many times
Che capolavoro! Inconfondibili il sound e l'atmosfera di Phil!!♥
Beautiful music, message in the song, and beautiful voice.

Love it! 😍😍😍
Lovely song! Memo to self: Blow out the dust & let more daylight in.
I love this
great song! I'd love to see the video without the words...
Debuted on my weekly personal music charts in October 30, 2022 edition :)
Sounds nice, and for me the special bonus is an optimistic feel about next Depeche Mode album, also produced by Marta Salogni.
❤❤❤
Very heart on sleeve. I think perhaps him catching some Moody Blues influence here. I’m all right with that for sure…

Excellent arrangement, love the strings and the vocals are perfect. Anything Thom can do lol. Is this a score for a film?
you only have to look one 1 cm under the title ;) - "Taken from the album 'Strange Dance' by Philip Selway, released 24th February via Bella Union:"
@@RayasNegroOvejas am I missing where it mentions the film this song was written for? I know it’s from a forthcoming album.
Чарівно!
Fuck yeah dude!!!
Sencillamente hermoso profundo melancólico intimo minimalista onírico dulce oscuro y doloroso
This sounds like it fell off The Division Bell.

Just had a listen to Weatherhouse. Same reactions (if anyone cares). It's a pretty literal affair. Fine, but 'genius' feels way off.
Sounds like Metallica..
I love it. I’m so impressed with everyone from RH
The music is nice but the vocals are too breathy

Oh, and if anyone naysays= I'm a musical genius. So bite me.
