Jeep Grand Cherokee WK headlamp or headlight removal for replacement 2005 2006 2007 2008 WH

How to remove the front of a 2005 2006 2007 2008 Jeep Grand Cherokee WK to enable the replacement of the headlamp units. I've just done this and found scant information about the exact and correct way to do this. If you own a WH export model, you'll have even more problems, as the headlamp units are different to the WK. I found this out as I did the work, but its possible and you'll save lots of money using WK units rather than trying to find WH versions.
It requires some basic rewiring for the export WH. Just replace the bulb holders for the US spec ones from your new lights and upgrade to some brighter bulbs as well.
I managed to buy the pair of these from VipmotoZ Headlamps from the USA brand new for just $105, for my 2005 Jeep Grand Cherokee WK Limited. Black Front Headlamp Assembly. 55156350AK / 55456351AK are the part numbers. Infinity Black Matte black housing, clear lens. Pair of passenger & driver side only. Include parking, signal, marker bulbs. Re-use original high & low beam bulbs.

The biggest change was the LPG fuel system with a second 20 US gallon fuel tank in the spare wheel area. This gives me an easy 600 mile range between fills. The second biggest was the Arb Old Man Emu suspension upgrade, with bigger tyres, wheel spacers with additional wheel arch clearance and fender flares. Then I had it re-painted in hydro blue, put on a new cold air intake and did the custom build stainless cat back exhaust system.

1. Hydro blue WK
Owner of a Hydro blue WK Jeep, the only known example. Hydro Blue Pearlcoat - Grand Cherokee WK 2005. A unique colour for this model, the only one as I had it resprayed. This is actually an export Jeep WH for the UK market. It doesn’t take much to make these trucks look like something really good, my one is just optimised for mild off-road use. 2. Redfire S197 GT/CS
A classic 2007 Ford Mustang California Special S197 with 127,000 recorded miles. A clean titled USA car with no accidents. The Redfire is a V8 manual with the bullet-proof 4.6 litre 3V petrol engine and a Tremec 3650 manual 5 speed gearbox. This Ford Mustang S197 has been fitted with long tube headers, a Pypes x-pipe straight through custom dual exhaust with Pypes Bombs and a cold air intake to be fitted when I figure out who is going to tune it for me.
