"Warn them once. Warn them twice after that, have nothing to do with factious men."
Unless they are not scriptural then remind them to be obedient to the word.
Continually I understand and believe that we are saved only and purely by placing our total faith in Christs completed work at The Cross and there is nothing (works) that we can do or not to earn or maintain our 'saved' status....BUT...Romans 4:5 and Romans 10:9-10 seems to imply that a verbal confession is required ?....Could this be categorized as a 'work' ? If so, does that affect the 'Faith Alone ' teaching ?
Faith is the free gift of God, not a work, lest any person should boast (Ephesians 2:8-9). A person's confession of Jesus as Christ is evidence that saving faith is present. Thus, a person's confession of Jesus as Christ is not a work, but is the initial evidence of the regenerating work of the Holy Spirit and the free gift of God.
