  • The iForce Max Might Be Better Than Any V8 -- Here's Why
The i-Force Max is better than a v8 in many ways. Toyota scrapped the 5.7 liter v8 which they produced for many years and it was known as an incredible engine for both its performance and reliability. It’s been replaced with a twin turbo 3.4 liter v6 which comes as a standard i-Force or as the i-Force Max which includes an electric motor. Many people are critical of Toyota’s new turbo v6 engines in the Tundra and Sequoia but there are actually many advantages over an old school v8. Coming from a huge fan of V8 engines, these are the major pros with the i-Force Max hybrid engine that came as a huge surprise once I got behind the wheel and spent some time with the new powertrain.
Thank you to Toyota East Coast for providing the Sequoia

I still love my 20 with the 5.7.

I will wait for reliability ratings and if it needs turbos work by 120000 to 150000 miles

Most of those points against a NA V8 are kinda dumb cuz because it’s not a NAV6

Bullshit! I own a 2019 tundra 1794… i love it! … Guy i work with bought a 2023 1794 I forced max and complains about the MPG.. the new V66 is not much better.. like 3 mpg.. and with turbos working, towing is actually worse or the same as the V8. Not Sold… and it’s ugly as F.

When the turbos give boost for towing, fuel consumption rises sharply
