- In this hair tutorial, I'm sharing the full hair color correction steps needed to remove black box hair dye. She used Nice n Easy black hair dye and it was not an easy color correction!
I feel lucky that she trusted me to remove this black hair dye to transform it into dimensional brown hair color.
Step 1: REMOVE BLACK BOX HAIR DYE with @Malibu C Professional CPR and color disruptor. This softened the harsh black line of demarcation and removed some of the indirect hair color.
Step 2: LIGHTEN with @Kenra Professional Beyond Bond Lightener with 20vol
Step 3: GLOSS hair with a brown shade in Demi with 5N and 5B
Step 4: @lifeoflisag ADDING MATCHING BROWN HAIR EXTENSIONS with 18inch @donnabellahair in color 4

Such an educational video! Need some advice, my hair was box dyed black (terrible I know) back in July August professionally it was lightened with a partial balayage. The result was a reddish / copper toned which I loved but it faded quickly and was then professionally glossed to give an all over dimensional black/brunette. The gloss has faded showing the brassy balayage again and I have way too much on my plate to get into the salon. I have natural roots, faded black its more a very dark brown now, and the highlights. I want to go back to the all over dark brown which I know won't go over any black, but what shades do you recommend for the filling process? I was thinking of mixing Wella 7RR and Wella 7WG. Both are demi, then for a final using 411/4N a medium brown. Will these shades work together? Thank you so much!
personally I don't think you need the red. a Warm Copper Gold filler should do the trick for a final level 4 formula.
Did you pre tone it prior to 5 roots ,5B mids and ends? If so w what did you pre T? Thanks 🙏 you are amazing
Thank you ❤️ I did not pretone but you can do one before you do a final toner
Great Job! 💕
Thank you so much ☺️
I’ve been using Kenra 5NUA for years to cover up my grays. Do you think it would be as hard as box dye to get out? Hair stylists where I live seem to not want to do color corrections. They act like it’s too much of a hassle. I would love to go a shade lighter.
You could definitely lift a level with a color remover that’s not lightener. I would find a stylist who is knowledgeable in corrections to know how to properly do it without damage
@@MirellaManelli Thank you!
OH SHOOT IM IN IT
You sure are! 😅
This app is free???? Thank you for all the knowledge!
Thank you for the knowledge 😉
My colorist was simply to cover grades. She is still a student and didn’t listen to me when I specifically told her I was a level 5 NOT 4
My question is that I’m wondering if Color oops will remove that real dark redken shade 4
@@EmmaDee no. Only bleach will.
@@EmmaDee I’m not familiar with color oops but any oxidative dye remover will work well
It looks really dark at the end…almost right back to black…I’d be mad if I was the client.
