The sad thing here is: Other countries acknowledge the beauty and traits of the Filipinos but Filipinos didn't. I felt so sad when Mana told that her fellow Japanese says that her looks were not nice. For me, Mana were so gorgeous inside and out.
I used to live in the Philippines and came to Canada when i was very young. I agree with most of what you have said Mana. I love and enjoy your positivity. I am sad though for some Filipinos because of the extreme poverty and the children who are exposed to all sorts of abuse because of their environment. Japan does have many good things going for them like the advances in technology and their discipline. I hope that we can all learn the good things from each other and adopt those things and become united as a people. Thank you for posting such wonderful videos. I agree of being "too busy" and "serious" of Japanese people. It has positive effect but in reality after a long day working hours, giving "quality time" with loved ones and to yourself are still the best. Filipino culture is very adaptable and somehow make you realize that life is too short, enjoy life, do good and be good :)

Good things about Philippines: 1. Old people like grandparents live with their families and taken cared of by their children. 2. We live with our parents for a long time, until finish college and start working. Sometimes, even when married, they live with the parents. Good things about Japan: 1. Very clean 2. Very efficient and extensive transportation or train system 3. Japanese people are very disciplined. 4. Many big and clean parks in the cities.
I am 78 years old lady and I use my tablet and phone almost daily to communicate and learn things from my you tube channel. I am very savvy in using social media. Pilipinos are train to speak English from as young as 1 year old. English is our second languages . I learn English reading my bible daily.

I visited some friends in Japan in Oct of 2019. I was born and raised in the Philippines. I'm now living in the USA for almost 20 years. I love to travel to different countries in the world when I can. I'd say all countries have good things and not so good. I think that what makes each coutry special - their uniqueness and diversity as we can learn from each orther. 11 of the things I liked in Japan when I visited ( that I can remember): 1. Japanese traditions that is very much unique to Japan is still visible in Japan. It's very much still part of your daily lives. PH culture has been mixed with western and other influences. Most Filipinos (including me) have a hard time speaking straight in Filipino. It's almost always mixed with foreign words. I liked seeing Japanese wearing Yukata in the streets. It's a normal thing to do. In the PH we only wear our traditional attire during festivals or special occassions. 2. Japan is so clean. From streets to bathrooms. It's clean. 3. Public transporatation. The train system is efficient and accessible. Good for the environment too. 4. Punctuality of people and train. To a T! 5. Bullet trains - An alternative to flying. So fast. 6. Your countryside is pretty. Well, I went to Takayama and it's so pretty and peacful. 7. Wagyu - Matsusaka A-5 - Never tasted a better beef in my life like that 8. Onsen - hot springs 9. Green tea ice cream 10. Soba 11. Chu Hi (Yuzu flavor) -i miss this so much. Can't find it here in the US. This is just my opinion. Ofcourse there are also some things that were not comfortable for me but that is not the point of this comment. Thank you for reading! :)
