    Been reading all the comments real interesting for sure . My bike came with 28 zillas no huge complaints but we do lots trails with water / mud holes but no swamp type riding . They last forever i got least 9500 klm.on mine plenty tread left .
    But in real deep mud or snow def would not hurt have more traction than they give me but i get by lol . Cheers great to see comments on tires and how work for others .

      Yea zillas are a good tire, high quality for sure. I had both sets and though why not do a comparison to show how much difference in deep mud. The zillas are as much better on the trail as the OL2 is in the mud, its harder to show that on vid though

      I thought the zillas were good in the mud until i tried the outlaws. I have mega mayhems on the suzuki so ill do a comparison with those also when i get the time.

    I know this is an old post. But you all do realize that zillas are more of an all terrain tire. If you want a mud tire compare to a mudzilla. Outlaws are awesome in mud, probably the best. The ride on hard ground and rocks is not so great. Like riding a horse. But the zilla is a smooth riding all around tire. Does great in most scenarios l.

    • @SketchyXC
      @SketchyXC  Před 3 lety

      Yea, def realize that. Those are the tires i had with me to compare at the time. And i though it would be cool to see the difference in capability between a dedicated mud tire and a aggressive trail tire. 👍 thanks for watching!

    Zillas run an inch small. No question the outlaws pull better in mud than the zillas but that extra inch of clearance and the zillas would have brought you through that hole

    • @SketchyXC
      @SketchyXC  Před 3 lety +1

      yea, ground clearance is king for sure, i wish i had same size zillas to do the comparison. Just a vid i threw together spur of the moment with the tires i had on hand.

      @@EC_ATV_Outdoors I run 4 in the rear and 5 in the front but even at 10 psi they’re still run small. A ballooned tire is no good

      @SketchyXC  Před 4 lety +5

      Im not a fan of the floorboards, the plastic thumb throttle, the belt snorkel location is too low, the gear selector looks and feels like its out of a model T, the exhaust is cheap and rusts, the radiator get clogged too easy when mudding.But the 4x4 system is awesome, the suspension is very good, the power is very good, its comfortable, polaris customer service is very helpful, the price is right for what you get. It will turn 28" tires without needing any clutching.

    I've got almost the exact same bike, 450 ho with clutch kit. Did the 27" zillas fit stock?
    I don't mind a bit of trimming but don't want to lift.

    • @SketchyXC
      @SketchyXC  Před 3 lety +1

      The zillas just barely rubbed the tierod in the front. So i would recommend a 1" spacer for the front. Other than that there is plenty of room to run those tires stock on your bike. If you plan on getting rims and tire you wont need a spacer if you get just a little more off set.

    I plan on getting a newer honda in the coming months. I plan on 50% trails and 50% mud. I want a aggressive mud tire but don't want one that'll bald quick cause of trails. Pretty sure they would but would outlaws bald quick on trails? If so what tire would you recommend?

    • @SketchyXC
      @SketchyXC  Před 4 lety

      I dont think you would be happy with OL2's on a trail. They do not have good trail manners at all. Very uncomfortable, and poor traction on trail type obstacles like climbing over logs and such. Mega Mayhems work pretty well for 50/50 use. Outlaws are a 90% mud tire in my opinion. Let me know what you decide on though! I wish i could test more tires so id have a better answer for you, Thanks for watching!

      @@SketchyXC ended up going with a set of 28in Kenda Executioners on a 14in rim. The foreman turns them good but I think imma downsize as I don't really need big tires. The kendas bite good though. Only ever been stuck 1 time and that was in some thick peanut butter mud where I couldn't get traction. Thinking about getting a small set of executioners as they are also known to last a while

      I had a front stock axle break with the OL2 on it. But it held up for quite a few rides and none of them easy miles. I did prefer the Mega Mayhems on the 570, cause it turned them easier, and trail rode much better. But the OL2 was a beast in mud

      Yea im not overly impressed with Zillas. Id say they are a mediocre tire at best. I wouldnt buy zillas for mostly mud riding and there are much better options for an aggressive trail tire. STI Black Diamonds have impressed me the most for a tough trail tire. Id buy Mega Mayhems over zillas for a mud geared tire that can also trail ride. I wish i could test them all! Thx for watching!
