One minor point- Punisher actually did load the gun taped to Daredevil’s arm. With one bullet, which he used to break the chains. I think that shows Frank only wanted to prove a point to Matt, plus if he put another bullet in the gun he might be pissed enough to shoot Frank after a choice like that.

plus Daredevil knew it was empty after that. He still used it to bluff his way into getting those guys to back off the old man, and he laughed because he enjoyed making them scared and because he knew he was about to beat the shit out of them.
@@a_fine_edition2746 yeah he was laughing because by pulling the trigger it was like saying "see what i made you do and i don't have a bullet?" it also helps show him finding solutions with the punishers weapons that the punisher doesn't see.

He uses that one bullet trick in his own show too, hes the one to use it, then lets his captive get the gun to think he has control of the situation to get him monologing
@@rowdeemunkee his show is the exact same story from daredevil over and over again. it's a real disservice to the character in my opinion.
Frank put one bullet in the gun, Matt shot his chain to get free. Matt knew there wasn’t another in the gun clicked it and laughed so the bikers could see he wasn’t going to shoot their friend.
The only reason Matt stopped the elevator was because the neighbor was going to be harmed he pulled the trigger on the gun and chuckled because he wanted to show he had no bullets and he's going to mess them up. It's so cocky and that's straight Daredevil!!
The graveyard scene with Frank always breaks me everytime!! Jon Bernthal gave us some of the most raw and emotional acting I've ever seen!! That scene is what made me realize that Marvel had truly cast the perfect actor to play Frank Castle!!

DD and Punisher’s Frenemies relationship is one of favorite dynamics in comics. I’m glad that both Cox and Bernthal are both returning for the new DD series!! Also for anyone looking for a place to read the comics, Chip Zdarsky just finished a phenomenal run on Daredevil.
moon knight and the punisher work pretty good too. they have similar backgrounds and moon knight has gone in a different direction.
Chip zdarsky daredevil is a masterpiece
Daredevil knew there was only one bullet. Frank told him there was one, and he used it and the gun to find other solutions that the punisher was unable to see.
Daredevil season 2 episode 3, Daredevil and the Punisher talking to each is the best written dialogue in the whole season maybe in the whole series.
Couple that with the knockout punch of Frank's monologue at the end of episode 4, and you have some incredible storytelling.
Frank was force recon marine trained in multiple disciplines. Including training with other services and countries. But the force recon part makes him a specialist in gathering information. So be instinct he does his research as much as possible before going on a mission.
Daredevil can "see" better than almost anyone lol and has crazy accuracy. If he used guns, that'd be crazy lol
The Punisher is a normal guy, but Ghost Riders powers are similar to what you were saying, at least I'm pretty sure he can tell whose guilty, he can also use his Penance Stare which I believe makes the guilty feel everything they inflicted on the innocent, could be wrong think that's how it works
Also glad to finally see your reaction to finding out about his Family, definitely can't blame him for wanting to take out all the Criminals
The dialogue between Frank and Matt in these two episodes are tremendous. GOATED episodes in my opinion. 🤘🏽
That debate between Punisher and Daredevil may be my favourite group of scenes in all this Marvel

The rooftop debate is one of the coolest hero show scenes ever in my opinion. Fun fact, in the comics one time Ghost Rider did his Penance Stare on Punisher and it didn’t work because Frank truly believes everyone he’s killed deserves it.
I have a quick question about your reaction videos, have you ever paused during them? Ive seen a lot of your content and can't quite remember if you do. If you dont then is there a specific reason you guys don't? The reason I mention this is cause I love when you two get so into a show and discuss so much of it, but I've also noticed you get confused in scenes because you forget little bits of dialogue that happened a few scenes prior and it might be because your attention going into your meaningful discussions. The most obvious example is the one thats all over this comment section lol with the bullet and chuckle. The other example could be when Karen was given the file on Frank and you two were discussing how scared you were of her that you seemed confused about what actually happened, and the guy decided just to help Karen and left the file there for her to take. All this is just to say that if you can pause I wouldn't be upset about it one bit, but if you can't then is there a reason for that? Like to help with uploading an uncut version for Patron? These episodes are the peak of the season for a lot of people
For me theres still a lot of great drama and fights in the second half of the season. I love a scene in episode 10 won't spoil.
But these episodes are ones I rewatched so many times in the last 8 years.

No guys, Punisher is powerless & thats what makes him great, no special abilities of any kind outside of being a former Marine Recon & a killer at heart. He is intelligent & an expert at urban warfare & possess a high pain tolerance but by day's end, hes human.
when punishers tide up in the chair he was pulling a razor blade out of his arm that he sewed in there which just shows how determined he is. love the videos keep up the great work
Daredevil & Punisher’s conversation on the rooftop is probably my favorite conversation & dialogue ever in the super hero genre
The Penny and Dime speech always gets me it's incredibly acted, but the writing is superb.
Little fun fact, that saying was for the series only, it was never in the comics.

Daredevil really was one of the best series available. Adding The Punisher and giving him his own was great as well.
Luckily daredevil is coming back and punisher is returning to and they’ve acknowledged this show as canon, hopefully they can maintain the quality of this show because that would be great because this show rules and because the MCU could use it
He told him from the beginning that there was only one bullet in the gun. He used that one bullet to shoot the chain. But the bikers just thought it was a fully loaded gun. Mat just used it to get the upper hand on the bikers
Punisher only loaded one round, which matt used to break his chains. And matt 100% could tell using his senses

My favorite portrayal of Frank Castle--ever.
Okay to clear things up, no.... Matt wasn't scared and Matt wasn't gonna kill a random goon. He was taunting them. He knew the gun was empty and pulled the trigger to intimidate the thugs.
If you've ever read a Punisher comic you'll see that Frank isn't delusional, the series & the movies don't even come close to scratching the surface of Castle's psyche. If anything, his head is more clear than anyone else's when it comes to judging the badguys. Unfortunately as good as the series is they did not nail the character 100 percent.

i have been waiting for these episodes so i am excited to watch , that graveyard scene is one of if not the best scenes in show show imo , no gimmicks no flashiness not even punisher and daredevil just matt and frank talking it out
For deployments, marines go through tazer and mace training. We typically get tazed and maced followed by certain events after to show we can push through it. Frank is definitely used to both.
Disney already own marvel by the time the marvel shows on Netflix and abc came out there was a split cuz Kevin Fiege was sick of Ike perlmutter so Disney split the movie and tv division it’s why the Netflix shows only tangentially mentions events without saying the characters full names

Man.... I'm a huge Punisher fan, collecting all the comics I can find, got the trade paperbacks, seen all the movies with Dolph Lundgren, Thomas Jane and Ray Stevenson (RIP), but Jon Bernthal is the best Punisher to me. When that scene happened, talking about coming home, tears were blinding me. Couldn't have cast a better guy to play Frank Castle.
The whole Punisher & Matt convo on the roof just makes me think of Spiderman even more like Spider-Man’s had that same dilemma but he talks to himself about it constantly cause he has no one else to talk to about it least in the animated series but yea it’s jsut such a good double edged sword the whole convo & this show is shot so damn well. Marvel has so many characters & stories & world building

I'm just not sure why you are sure that Matt would've killed the guys if the gun was loaded with more than one bullet, and thus that he isn't different from the Punisher. Matt is a catholic, so his one golden rule is to NOT kill.

The Punisher is my second favorite Marvel comic book character next Wolverine. Both of them are anti-heroes. They both kill badguys while heroes like Daredevil and Spider-Man won't kill outta principal. Some of my favorite comic book characters are anti-heroes.

The Punisher is a vigilante, a human & nothing more. Sadly the new Marvel comics hate Frank & have destroyed the character & made him into something he wasn't meant to be. As for the bikers, they're scumbags & were involved in the killing of Frank's family so they got what they deserve.

Episode 3 was my favorite the ‘debate’ between Matt and Frank was a recreation of an actual scene from
the comics. But it really shows what gets into what makes both Matt and Frank tick. Matt believes in second chances and he believes in repentance that people can change. Frank however believes that there is only one way to end a bad guy and his judgement is final. Which is brought to a head with Grotto knowing he killed an innocent woman who witness him murder someone gives Frank’s point some merit about how people cannot change and Matt’s conviction wouldn’t let him bend to Frank’s point.
The Greatest acting performance in the history of Marvel. Thank you Mr Bernthal.
